It kind of bothers me that it’s called America in shorthand when the entire 2-continents are ALSO called America.
I like the names that people have for smaller sections of it, e.g Arcadia which i think means Washington and Oregon state? And New England. I guess nobody wants their country to be called ‘new oldcountry,’ though 😝
