Nice hook, but ‘my own personal jarvis’ is not on offer anywhere. It’s big tech’s version, so a comparison with Ultron would be a bit closer to the truth.
This is a great illustration of how it could have been cool, but privacy, ownership and control matter…

That’s a shame, and I get your thinking but you actually represent a lot of the potential audience and a review from your perspective would help readers understand how much is gaming value and how much is nostalgia.
I remember BBC micro, c64 and spectrum as the console wars of the day, usurping the Atari 2600, on which I remember playing asteroids, pong, missile command, and many more; I was so young that I now can’t remember if we had the 4 or 6 switch version.
I scoured the web for reviews but couldn’t find any. Not even on techdweeb’s YouTube and he is usually up for the old dos and c64 stuff.
Hope you will reconsider doing a review. The hardware, materials, build quality and ergonomics can compare with other handhelds, just judge the games on their own merits.
Elite was released on both, though I rememberthe spectrum version tape had different ships depending on which side you loaded. The C64 is probably a better option for the full game.
Most of the games I’d recommend are covered in other comments, but I’ll add a vote for Speedball 2: Brutal Deluxe on the megadrive/genesis.
Lot of happy memories of that game so there is definitely some nostalgia involved, but I’d recommended anyone to give it a shot.
I have other handhelds plenty capable of running c64, but it’s nice to have a device for a specific job. And these nail the aesthetic for my eyes.

You can still go graphene and isolate play services in a secondary profile.
For a better future: Organisations and services that structure themselves to require third party services need to take contractual responsibility for the actions in their fulfillment supply chain, just as an online retailer takes responsibility for delivery agents. Google play services harvesting needs to be reflected in the privacy policy of every company that doesn’t provide alternative access.
Wonder what will happen if we all start making data protection complaints about enforced non contractual third party data harvesting?
This, all day long. If you need to access teams on the go (because you choose to) there is a web interface for that. Same for outlook. There are plenty 2FA options so you probably already have something that can provide 2FA without requiring you to install a microslop app to your phone. I will not accept any third party management of my device.
I’m no legal advisor. But my opinion is that it is possible for any code to be misused. If you have a legitimate use case for your own purpose that is compliant with the law, isn’t it possible that the screen capture protection code is (in that scenario) being misused?

In shadow of doubt that many companies have painted themselves into a corner and will find the ai revenue correction painful. That said, I’m surprised to hear its already more expensive than people without reference to maintenance debt costs. Makes me wonder if there isn’t some good old fashioned malicious compliance at work too…
Fair point on the self hosting potential, but lets me honest the apicy autocomplete they are calling ai is way too unreliable to be any kind of useful like jarvis was presented to be.
