As of now, a flat amount charged by the state doesn’t account for actual usage, even if it is a straight forward implementation. the down side to your suggestion is that it requires each state to implement, and it increases EV ownership (cost of installing meters in existing homes without one) also enforcement is another thing that would increase costs probably significantly.

I kinda think updating registration laws/procedures would be a better method. have EV drivers record their odometer every year or whatever time schedule and set it that your registration fees is based on mileage. Have sales require that odo mileage listed with the old owner paying that last bit of mileage owed in taxes. This way, a new owner has a reason to help enforce the odo mileage. No i dont want to say you drove 20k miles than listed, cuz then next time i have to pay for those 20k on next registration.

Interesting points to me are the fact that this 130 fee is:

• more than what the average fuel consuming car pay (70-90)
• Is on top of what many people already pay in state taxes to drive their car

I have an old, used, steelcase chair. the cushioning is a bit worn out (so not as soft as I’d like), but I play games a lot and I think it helps my posture quit a bit.
Herman miller chairs are also great, but I preferred the steelcase chairs because they’re adjustable for more sizes than the Herman millers.

I would definitely recommend getting them used, or buy the steel case refurbished. There’s companies that focus on refurbishing steels case chairs for nearly half price.

Calfornia is labelled as 233 while alabama is 236. I’m not very familiar with comparing this scores, but California is listed as significantly under the average (237) so I don’t think its a stretch to say California is also significantly under Alabama’s scores.

Thrift stores are definitely a good and cheap option. They may even work with you to provide a steep discount with a higher quantity purchase.

I have a very similar attitude as yourself. I want to emphasize as well the main content I don’t upvote is content I don’t understand, like posts about animes I don’t watch etc. So I have very few down votes tbh.

What about putting in an old tire tube instead of tape? Basically use the old tire tube as a layer? I suppose you’d still have to tape it, but it does provide a thicker layer. Can you also post a pic of your tire with the spikes visible?

I feel we need to include this in all driving courses, so all drivers can really be aware of how scary cars driving nearby is. Meanwhile, we also need to push for increase biking infrastructure
