  • I have moved twice by a bike & trailer, although both times the distance was just a couple blocks. The first time I moved all my stuff (except bed) to another flat and the second time we moved our bike shop to another location, for some heavier items we used a car. Also I’ve carried furniture on a bike, one time a pretty hefty tv table on the rack (with another person walking by and balancing it). I find it amusing that it’s possible to carry a whole table on a bike but not in a (regular) car! :D

  • Swimming pool drains. I panic if I get above one. No idea why. I used to love swimming/diving as a kid but I always made sure to stay as far away as I can from the drains. I didn’t go to a swimming pool for like 20 years (mostly because of body dysforia but the drains did play a role as well), only recently I’ve been to a spa - and I’m like a cat with a cucumber around the drains.

Oh, and leeches. Never want to see one of those fuckers in real life.

Also I have a fear of getting worms. One of my late cats got that type which, if in a wrong host, can travel to the eyes.

  • Same same. My SO gravitated to a position (producer) that actually allows them to utilize the ADHD traits in their job. Appatently quite a few of the producers in the company have ADHD.

Me, well I come with autistic features among others and the longest I’ve worked in the same place was like 4 years - and that’s because it was related to my special interest and the others working there were spicy as well. Oh and I had a 4-day work week, which seems like the maximum for me from which I can still recover (if the work is otherwise sustainable). Apart from that my work history is just random shit I’ve done for a few months before burning out or part time/gig courier work. I’m hoping to be a part-time researcher part-time mechanic or something like that in the future, I’d like to think that would balance things out nicely.
