Yes you can. Enable USB debugging and do this adb command:
adb shell pm uninstall --user 0 com.google.android.tts
And if you want to restore it:
adb shell cmd package install-existing --user 0 com.google.android.tts

man that’s awful. i would be extremely angry if the staff of a funnerary put my personal information and my family’s data into some AI company’s that will never delete that data!

sorry for the very late response (it’s better late than never, isn’t it?), but Xiaomi has its bootloader unlocking service active. I used it last year to unlock my phone.
Here you can get the official mi unlock program (it works on hyperos): https://en.miui.com/unlock/index.html
And here is a guide to unlock the bootloader: https://miuirom.org/updates/xiaomi-bootloader
(don’t do the usb debugging part, I don’t know if it is necessary on older devices but on every xiaomi device that I had you don’t need to enable usb debugging so mi unlock can communicate with fastboot)
edit: spacing.
edit 2: please don’t do the bootloader lock via direct fastboot command as stated in the guide, I strongly recommend that you do a clean flash of stock rom with mi flash tool, if you plan to lock the bootloader later.

If you don’t like the bloatware… unlock the bootloader and install a custom rom! Luckily Xiaomi allows you to unlock the bootloader if you have a global variant.
I save a copy on my PC regularly (because I use keepassdx primarily, an android-only client), and I upload it to signal. Yes, I use signal as cloud storage, and it works really well! I have peace of mind that the file is encrypted using top-notch encryption, and only accessible by my linked devices.
