The problem is, that nearly no OS is perfect. Even grapheneOS and copperheadOS. If a three letter agency wants to get access to the systems running a privacy OS, they will somehow get it. Who should block the door to the devs home? They raid them, acquire the signing keys with their methods and deploy a backdoor in the next OTA update.

It is always about thread level and alternative options. If they get Apple, you move to Android, then to graphene, then to sailfishOS and whatever comes next. If you care about it. But the thing is…. Google shows how to fuckup their user base. Apple got a better example for that with iOS 16 feature „Automatic Verification“ for CAPTCHAs. It’s not forced, you can deactivate it. And if you don’t have it, you get a normal standard capture like everyone else. Why not that Google, just copy that feature and no one would be pissed of by your „let’s be evil“ marketing.

I also had trouble with that. I had to build some QoS pipes and query’s in OpnSense to reach 1Gbit/s. By now I upgraded my setup with an Intel N100 and 16GB RAM. It’s more than enough for OpnSense

I use OpnSense with Suricata and CrowdSec for that kind of job. But nothing works out of the box in that segment. You have to learn how to setup your environment for your requirements. There a many tutorials and forums, you just have to dig around and find what you need.

Yes. Does PfSense have something like OpenCentral for stack management?

I used OpnSense, OpenWRT and PFsense. Can’t really complain for home lab. But OpenWRT should not be used as a full UTM FW. It is more of a router and AccessPoint software. OpnSense and PFsense are both good options. Where OpnSense goes more into UTM FW with Plugins IDS/IPS stuff. I used PFsense only for IP based filtering but I know it can do more than that.

Just don’t use any command in proxmox. Proxmox is designed GUI first. It got an update button in the GUI. Only major releases could need tinkering in the terminal. But even changing repos is now possible in the GUI.

Why is Fedora atomic not more secure? It is literally immutable. Which kills the concept of persistent malware, unless they archive a complex exploit chain to gain root and install a malicious package and then reboot into the new iso, which is easier said then done.

Privacy or Security? Security would be something like Fedora Atomic. Privacy (and security?) QubesOS , TailsOS But as Linux is FOSS, you can just take any distro and form it as you like.

I used Nessus for a while and I heard that OpenVAS could be a good FOSS alternative to it.

It also looks very thin, check your Z offset.

Could be multiple things. Dry your filament, in an oven or special dry box if you own one. Clean your bed with warm water (no soap or alcohol/acetone)

Use a glue stick for better adhesion.

Also, if you printer support it, you can generate a level matrix to see if it is leveled.
