  • Not sure if you can answer this question, but I’ve tried Markdown in the past with Joplin and one of the issues I had with it was that the codeblocks don’t have a convenient copy button. It separates them out nicely but you still have to highlight to copy and paste.

Maybe I’m doing something wrong, but as far as I could tell, this seemed like a shortcoming of Markdown itself, but is that something helix is able to do? It’s the one thing that’s got me on AnyType over any other note app, but I’m heavily under utilizing it for what it could be good for.

  • I second this, custom domain on Proton, DKIM, SPF, DMARC all setup, have never had anyone complain about emails not coming through.

The only thing I’ll add is that I did actually go through a migration from M365 to Proton and it was pretty painless, this was a while ago so the process might be better now, but I just exported a PST, used the bridge connector to add proton to Outlook, then imported the PST, once it synced I got rid of my Microslop licensing and switched to the official Proton Mail app, though lately I’ve just been using the web app since I haven’t installed too many apps since switching over to Linux.

  • I watch some of the videos from the main channel as well as Short Circuit and honestly I’m more there for the other hosts, even in this video Linus is the most negative of the three. Luke actively uses Linux after the last challenge even if it’s not for every device.

I watch Jake’s channel now that he left and he’s got more interesting things going on. Same with Alex.

  • I’m not saying Proton was right or wrong to hand over data, who knows how much if a fight they really out up, but it seems more like an OpSec thing, where they found the account because they used that email to create a user account somewhere that they then posted about being a part of this group rhe FBI was going after.

I’d say your best bet to avoid this would be to create a free account that doesn’t have any payment info and doesn’t use your premium account as a recovery method of any kind if you’re going to use it as the email associated with a social media account. Or like someone else mentioned, if there’s an anonymous payment method, always use that.

Again, not a great look for Proton, but doesn’t really go against any of their claims as far as data encryption is concerned. Not sure if they could encrypt that payment info.
