It’s a ton of hassle if you’re logging into websites on that browser and I don’t think it provides much benefit unless it’s a shared computer and user account.
Firefox with uBlock Origin and Enhanced Tracking Protection enabled in strict mode blocks basically every type of tracker. You can add Cookie Auto Delete on top of that if you really want to make sure only sites you whitelist can save anything persistent like cookies or history.
Yeah and to be fair my main browser is Zen but I still have chrome and edge because I work on websites and need to make sure things work OK, they’re just not used for much else.
Basically everyone who’s not a techy person (unless their PC was set up by someone who is I suppose).
It’s so weird to me that people go nuts over Brave or Opera GX or whatever when Firefox and forks like Zen or LibreWolf are around and do their job so well.
Residential VPNs are available, plus home IPs change constantly on most providers.
Their best option is probably requiring a phone number verification to make an account.

How do you go about loading plugins on the Android version for sync with your setup?
Is that needed if ublock already stops all the tracking scripts from loading?
It does, just need to enable the filter list for it. It’ll block most annoying things on top of the usual ads.
For other websites, if I search for ‘passkey’ on the KeePass website feature list nothing comes up. Plugins in a password manager sketch me out a bit tbh lol

That’s a neat one, although it doesn’t look like KeePass supports passkeys yet, at least I don’t see it in the feature list.
I switched over to keepass yesterday, and surprisingly the import from BW was perfect (as far as I can tell), even passkeys came over just fine.
I ended up using Keepass2Android and just pointing it at my webdav server, it seems to work pretty well!
On desktop it’s already taken care of since I put the DB in my folders that already sync via Syncthing.
KeePassXC + KeePassDX is probably the best option, with the downside of no way to sync easily (syncthing is probably the best option there)
I might switch back at some point, been getting frustrated with the bitwarden extension performance always being so poor.
I’m surprised about the satisfactory reference, that game never ran particularly well for me once I was a ways in with lots of stuff built up.
It has a huge impact for me, most notably unreal engine because of how poorly most games made with it run, and it visually looking very soft or blurry in some games. So it’s something I check before looking at buying a game.
If you have a need for high levels of privacy it’s the only way to do it, or just leave your phone at home.
It doesn’t really defeat the purpose of having a mobile phone either IMO, most stuff I do on my phone is already offline (maps, notes, taking photos, etc).
Would need to disable the cell radios, wifi and bluetooth too since those are also used to track device location.
Wow I thought maybe they had finally optimized the code better so things weren’t so laggy, but no this just makes your CPU boost faster to try and run their crappy slow code lol.
