My wife told me her cancer had moved to her brain. 22 days later through an unimaginable amount of pain and anguish she passed away.
I dont think anyone could possibly tell me anything that could hurt worse than that. (No fault of her own obviously.)

let the dog bit you on the forearm. put your other arm behind its neck. lift with your bit arm and press down with your other arm on the back of their neck.
The dog will stop biting you momentarily.

My wife died of breast cancer moving to her brain last October. They did NOT break out the good stuff. They supplied the weakest painkillers and measured them every visit so they knew if I was over dosing her or stealing some. And from her reaction I dont think the stuff was strong enough.

This sounds like classic carbon monoxide poisoning. Get a gas detector. It could be that your upstairs neighbor is pumping it into your apartment! (more than likely though its juts a leak making you disoriented and paranoid).
