Every job I’ve ever had. I do good work so I succeed but if I don’t get promoted out of it I’m always forced to find a different job eventually to reset my workload. This is also how I get more significant pay raises though so it works out.

It makes me wonder what the PC profits were for the God of war games, last of us, etc., whatever else made it over. They really blew it with the forced accounts thing, but God of War was great. I always hoped they would port the demon souls remake but I guess that’ll never happen.

I have two 8bitdo controllers and they’re both great. I’m not sure what makes you think they are shit. I’ve only ever heard good things and that’s been my experience. I intend to get a third one to replace my dying ps3 controllers.

I never heard of it, and I tend to be frequently looking at upcoming releases. So, they failed step one in getting people to buy the thing.

It always seems ominous to me. It could be 100% inert and harmless and knowing that I would still absolutely lose my shit panicking if I fell in.
Find spawner. Dig pit under spawner. Put tamed wolves in pit. Never ate so much eyescream.
Its also… Different?

There are people who do that now. I’m not an expert but I know there is specific DOT training for exactly that purpose. By regulation the waste is packed into a specifically strong cask that has been tested to withstand being dropped, lit on fire, etc. Good luck breaking one of those open.

Found this in a quick search. If you pay people enough they will do it. Liability is owned by the people sending the shipment.

So there was this carefully selected place called Yucca mountain where radioactive waste could be safely stored for a million years without concerns like this. However, due to public opposition we dont use it, and instead theres just kind of… Nowhere good to go. That doesnt solve this problem, pretty sure this issue predates Yucca, but if you want to see the kind of engineering solution that should be used then Yucca mountain is a great example.

Right, good call, those zeroes probably matter to someone at Meta

Read his post. This article is lazy, he at no point says it will “never happen”. What he does do is argue that there’s not much of a business case, they aren’t really doing anything with it that’s new and good enough to warrant that, which makes it unlikely to ever be a major success. He also concedes that after the $80 million dollar failure of the metaverse his opinion might be worth ignoring. So, he isn’t really drawing a hardline on any of these opinions either.

It honestly worked for me. I have a decade old laptop that runs better now that I installed Mint. I only use it for web browsing and occasional word processing, handles office libre just fine.
Wow good thing I dont use any of them!
