  • Maybe being in Early Access is why I behave differently with Subnautica 2. I manually save and then exit without saving because, illogically, “I remember exaCtlY wHAt I was dOing at the moment I manually saved, but who knows what the Save & Exit option will do to my saves list without my permission, or where it’ll drop me upon loading as compared to loading my manual save.”

And yet I affirm that every single time I go to load a save, there’s an identical non-manual save parked right above my actual manual save. Can’t tell if it’s an actual separate autosave or just a duplicated view of my manual save, though occasionally I notice two different time stamps (I assume from unsaved Exits I performed when drowning) and my brain says “AHAA! Not catching ME slacking” as I proudly load the manual save.

Just dumb fun brain arguments that only persist because I’m not hurting anyone (else).

  • Once one accepts that non-binary (NB?) people have the same humanity as any other person, a potential partner’s AGAB matters less. That’s my experience, anyway.

I’m demisexual, attracted to stereotypically feminine or androgynous bodies, and I’ve seen a number of very cute, penis-bearing women. If I had an emotional connection with a NB person or transwoman with the aforementioned body type, I think it’d be fun and exciting to see if we click romantically/sexually.

I once drove cross country in the US from my home in the Ohio valley to the California coast. I have never been on an airplane and had only traveled to the biomes of Appalachia, Great Lakes, or Floridian beach.

I had a wonderful (spiritual?) experience driving through the New Mexico desert. I had never seen so much LAND visible from my point of view, and I got lucky to see this while driving westward at sunrise. Even after seeing the Grand Canyon on this same trip, I wasn’t as affected as I was when I saw the expansive desert.

I am a tall Caucasian male though, so I had a built-in sense of security. It can be a tenuous plan for plucky youngsters, especially young women, safety-wise.
