Your take is entirely accurate but I still love this game. I couldn’t even tell you why. Maybe it’s nostalgia.

It isn’t just loss of sleep. My body is very settled on its routine and relies heavily on it. It usually takes me 1-2 weeks to mentally recover from any time change, regardless of whether I gain or lose an hour. During that time I have a hard time sleeping, concentrating, and everything I do feels like it’s “off” - it feels like knowing you’ve forgotten something but can’t figure out what it is. When the whole population is forced to do this at the same time twice every year, you get an increase in accidents, aggravated health conditions, and general unhappiness in the country, all at once. And it’s all completely preventable, imposed by outdated societal norms. That’s why people won’t stop complaining. We’re hoping change will finally come.

I did something similar as a toddler/child, but once done I would isolate a single strand of hair and then yank it out. Then I’d start all over again. I had bald spots.

Do you have aphantasia? This is pretty common among people who do.

I believe they were referring to the use of AI.

When something was “dry” it meant it was bad. Never heard it again after I finished middle school.
More potatoes.
Magic the Gathering, other TCGs and board games.
I can have fun while playing them, but that’s mostly for the social aspect of it. I don’t really care to discuss it outside of actually playing. Maybe it’s because my friend group is full of people who do want to discuss it and I’m just… Not that interested.
It’s technically a work of fiction but The Dispossessed by Ursula Le Guin can maybe be considered an anarchist book. It does a deep delve into an anarchist society and how it could theoretically be organized. In my opinion it could also be interpreted as a critique, but I think it’s stronger for it.
Walking back character development/growth.
I’m pretty sure that my own mother has called me a child of a whore so I totally get it. That phrase is used about as much as fuck is in English.
What an absolutely awful attitude to have around children. Forget celebrating all you achieved, or the fact that you’re clearly improving, it wasn’t good enough after two attempts so just give up forever.
