tl;dr it’s a creative hobby
Not a furry per se (yet maybe) but I’m in the same social circles, ymmv. Basically it’s just oc cosplay, and like all hobbies and crafts some people have a more enthusiastic, personal approach to it; and some like it surface level.
Essentially, it’s a joint art style in a large art community. People get to create their own characters and share in that art culture, and for some it’s a very powerful escape and a way to explore yourself in a different way.
Is it true that 30 years ago people took more responsibility than today? Or were the times you recall of humility just as unique then as they are now
And also in what ways? Is taking responsibility a single act or does it require constant effort? Is it a destination? Can someone take responsibility and still fail after? And if that happens do you remember the times it worked or do you only regard the time it failed?
Why do you feel that the bitterness stems from your success or happiness? For me, I’m generally happy when I hear of successes of others. It sounds like you’re on your feet and in a much better position than before, and honestly every success deserves some praise or we get nowhere don’t we. But why do you feel others aren’t sharing in some joy in your development? Is it just some unpleasant individuals or is this like, everyone you meet

Please take this as kindly as I’m offering it. From this comment, to me it sounds like you make a lot of assumptions about everyone’s intentions but only listen to your own.
Decenter yourself when thinking about others, I think you’re comparing everyone to your own circumstances rather than truly empathizing.
Not saying you’re necessarily conservative, but this “I did it right and they’re doing it wrong” attitude always dissolves when it suddenly affects them and they “didn’t realize it was that bad”
TBH I only know of them from passing, just that that was where most audio-centered adult creators were going

Worried? No. Earmark it though. Every few years there’s a new potential bug it’s just part of being a species, this one looks gnarly but too soon to tell. That being said, wear masks courteously and wash your hands. If things get bad again we’ll all find out together

People are definitely waking up though, in the sense that the oligarchal media is increasingly unable to deny reality, so people who don’t pay attention are starting to finally get it through

Decenter yourself and your relationship from this scenario just for a moment, is this information that your (coworker maybe in this case?) needs to know in order to do a better job in the future? How would you go about informing them if so. Then you can bring back in all the other variables before figuring out your next step. Perhaps you can also frame the information you have differently to allow them to put together the other details “last job there was a leak, was there something we overlooked?” Or smth idk
