I kind of remember that being an issue way back when the Steam Deck launched. Ever since I always launch games after docking. Bummer to hear it’s still an issue.
I make things with computers. Preferably artsy things, but I also like to work on random scripts and pipelines. I like D&D & video games, but don’t always have time to play them. I like pet chicken. I watch soccer, especially NWSL & USWNT, as well as some WSL and whatever happens to be on.

“An AI consultant tells Axios one of their clients recently spent half a billion dollars in a single month after failing to…”
Hires consultant.
Implementation sucks.
Consultant: you are bad at this.
No shit, that’s why we hired you!
😂

Are you kidding? They’re now the poster child for why AI companies are more than smoke. Expect an investment from Nvidia and anthropic to continue the self-flation.

Age of Wonders 4. I’m so glad I finally pulled the trigger on this during the recent sale. It’s so much fun.

Remember, AI means no more QA needed!

The PS4. My wife and I played a lot of PS3, so we were excited for the 4, but it just didn’t hit right. We ended up barely using it. At some point we let someone borrow it and never asked for it back.
I don’t even remember what we didn’t like, except that we were both pumped for the latest sack boy game, which ended up not anywhere near as fun as the first one.

One is a noun, the other an adjective, and as such they carry different meanings. For example, someone could eat a tart (baked good) that is not tart (sour).

I miss Windows Media Center. It was so great back in the day.
I don’t think Amazon has much of a chance. People like their Alexa for the simple stuff. We had a free trial of Alexa+. On day 2 my wife was complaining about how slow it was, and by day 4 my 13 year old daughter had figured out herself how to switch back, because she hated Alexa+ so much.
Linux, where everything is your own fault.

Interesting. I do have issues with the stream freezing, and I will have to test if this helps with that. I haven’t used Decky Loader yet, but I guess I found my reason to try it!

Most of it comes from declines in teen pregnancy. I see that as a win.
Also, in the 2007-2025 time span where fertility dropped 23%, the US still managed to add 41 million people to its population.

How is this programming humor?

I’m giving Marvel Midnight Suns another try. I didn’t like it when it came out, but I’m more OK with it now. It has elements from a lot of games I like. But it doesn’t pull them off quite as well as the other games I like. I’ll see how it goes as I get further in.

Same for Steam Deck. UE5 games can ‘technically’ run, but they look a lot worse than other games. It’s the only game engine I check for.

Yes, you’re right on the internet, of course. The artist has no idea what they’re talking about, should delete their comic and hang their head in shame. Good job. You win 1 internet point.

My kid plays switch and I grew up in the 80s. I think he’s talking more dos/windows 3.1 times, Super Nintendo, maybe Sega genesis/mega drive times, where many games did not have saves. I remember playing sonic and when you ran out of lives, that was that. When I bought X-Wing, it came with a massive manual.
But whatever, it’s a comic about nostalgia. People will always be nostalgic about their own childhood.

You’re thinking of a different time.

That looks like it would be pretty fun on the steam deck. I’ll have to try the demo
Gameplay trailer? … They must really not have any confidence in the gameplay, because that was 95% cut sequences.
