fyi Rollcage has a modern(ish) revival called GRIP and it’s pretty good, there is even a small community on their official discord playing MP sessions every day or so

afaik if you want to retain as much quality as possible while saving space you do want to do it on the CPU (so not hw accelerated - slow)

I would momentarily drop all rules (if possible) to see if it has to do with firewall at all
