DragonBallZ Abridged used a lot, and I mean a lot of referencial humor in their earliest season, only really starting to make characters come into their own towards the end of season 1.

By the start of season 2 with the Namek saga, they’d largely nailed their characters personalities and ditched most of the references, and as a result, seasons 2 and 3 are much more fun to watch

It’s gotta be the Sims.

I recall playing 2 and 3, only occasionally, because every time I would set it up, I’d play for a day or even just a couple hours. Then I go do other things, or I sleep through the night. Then come back thinking “what was I even doing?” Before deleting the save and uninstalling the game.

I don’t understand the time investment in a fake family, trying to make positive changes in a Sims life, and it only makes me feel worse about trying to improve my own situation. I don’t think I would get the perspective of someone who thoroughly enjoys this.

I thought I would be one of the ones who hated it, but then I tried it.

I want to get the platinum on Playstation at some point, maybe before I bother getting DS2

I don’t believe hate speech should be protected speech, we’ve been following hate speech laws in Canada since the 1960s and as far as I’ve lived, the spirit of these laws strikes me as “my freedoms end where yours begins.”

Their data centers are absolute water chugging units, and that’s not a compliment. They suck up so much water from the rest of the population, it makes me wonder if the ex-CEO of Nestlé maybe had a point when he said we should be charging for water that isn’t used for “fundamental needs.”

Just consider, in Mesa, Maricopa, Meta has one datacentre, Google has another and is building two more, while Microsoft already has two. But the state of Arizona denied permits to construct homes, specifically citing a lack of groundwater.

And I haven’t even mentioned the other health effects it seems to be having on local populations

But if can take a moment to be a little more selfish, the cost of RAM as a result of this whole stupid thing has especially pissed me off. The price for DRAM and NAND have gone so out of control, we can’t get the pricing for new technologies cause they’re still under review due to unclear memory costs. Steam decks are completely sold out, with no new models being developed, and while they haven’t said anything, I have no doubts that this will delay the release of the Steam machine, much like how Sony is now considering a delay to the PlayStation 6 for the same reason.

It looks interesting.

Does it need to be Toy Story? No.

But it looks interesting, I might keep an eye out on how it does
