A solar conjunction of mars happens every 26 month and takes about two weeks. That’s the perfect time to install Windows updates and reboot the system. At least that feels as if it also takes two weeks.

The two American books on the other hand are not very well know around the world. I’m not even sure if they have ever been released here in Germany for example. Unlike the Dostojewski book, that got international recognition and has been translated at least 12 times into German. That didn’t help me to guess it, though. I’m just not very well read.

Don’t forget the absurdly big and fuel-hungry cars.

Are you kidding? That’s literally one of the most famous volunteer task. There’s more than half a million volunteer water rescue personnel in Germany alone. Granted, they’re not only life guarding, but that’s a big part of what they do. Not at pools (those are usually run for profit, so they can and should pay personnel for that) but at lakes and the sea.

What else should they get? Birthday cakes with candles that say someone else’s age? That wouldn’t make any sense.

You don’t have candles on your birthday cake just because you’re grown up? What a sad life.

Misleading advertising is illegal in the EU and I assume that the same is true (to some extent) for most places outside the USA:

Whether the advertising above is illegal, would be for courts to decide. It depends if an average customer would fall for it. That would also depend on the circumstances: Next to a highway where you only have half a second to read the sign, it would be illegal, but maybe not next to a footpath where you can read it for 2 minutes before passing it.

I second this. Every woman reaching voting age should be eligible to their own patch of land to live on. As should every man. Let’s expropriate the real estate companies! 🚩

Haven’t had enough time for gaming this week either, but as I’ve read that Blizzard is planning to release an expansion for Diablo 2 (sic!) I thought about searching my basement for the old CDs. Time to revive my necromancer.
