Yep, I’m right there with you on this one

Right? Holy shit. I am surprised and a bit perturbed by how many people are on board with sexism in this thread

I’m glad I’m not the only one

Has he considered replacing saying things with eating shit and dying?

Hmm, yeah. I see what you’re saying, but it also doesn’t feel quite right to me to take a more specific critique, of the way these people are interpreting and implementing their religion, and use that to make a broader negative statement about the religion at large.

Easy there, don’t cut yourself on that edge

Yeah, of course not. But Westboro Baptist Church being what they are doesn’t make Unitarian Universalists just as bad, despite both sharing a common ancestor in Christianity. By the same logic, saying “Islams are dumb sexists” is just ignorant.

That is painting with a broad and uncharitable brush. I think you’ll find that many religions, Islam included, are interpreted by some followers the encourage pretty heinous behavior (see also the FLDS, Westboro Baptist, and so on). But by the same token, there are many interpretations of those same religions that are very progressive. Maybe the problem isn’t religion itself, but the ways in which religious institutions are easily manipulated to justify and support sexism, racism, etc.
Thank you!
Thank you!
That’s what I do now, so it would probably just be a fun project for me to see if I can do the jailbreak
As an old PaperWhite owner with no loyalty to Amazon, anywhere I can find a jailbreaking guide?

Not particularly, at least not by anyone other than my wife. She thinks I’m pretty great, and I just don’t see it. I think I’m pretty average and unremarkable, and the world will just keep moving along without me once I’m gone. Takes the pressure off a bit, tbh, because it makes the stakes pretty low. If no one values what you provide, then it doesn’t really matter if you meet their expectations or not.
There are residential neighborhoods in cities though, where straight roads with roundabouts and other traffic calming makes more sense than a curving a road, for the purposes of lowering driving speeds. Neither is better or worse inherently, we should just tailor solutions to the environment they’re needed in.
There’s a flipside too though. Straight lines aren’t great for suburbs for the speed reason, but once you reach enough density and the roads get narrow enough, grids make planning easier, and navigating easier for pedestrians. Roundabouts are a nice way to slow traffic through straight roads
Only from above. When you’re on foot, grid systems feel plenty variable and lively

Haha that very much feels like a case of justified hierarchy

Yeah, that’s probably a fair assumption

Isn’t divorce only a sin for Catholics who don’t get it annulled? I thought divorce was more acceptable among Protestants
Likewise, the community on blahaj has been so supportive and helpful as I’ve figured out my gender and started transitioning! It’s a great space
