I recently went about setting up an account with an email provider that purely provides mail. Very happy with them so far, the only thing they don’t do that I do use with my free legacy gapps is Google Drive.

Yeah… virtually every software license disagrees with you. You can’t transfer a steam account, you (according to Microsoft) can’t even transfer the OS license.

I think that mergers like this only ever benefit those who are responsible for taking the money out of the companies beforehand.
I believe that there has never been a merger of two near equally terrible companies that has ever benefited the consumers or the general public. It is almost always geared to getting a small number of investors paid.
