Luigi burned a bunch of bridges
This guy will never be pro union.

There are many problems not caused by big tech.
Everyone knows
Disagree. My mom doesn’t. Terminally online people do.
Mamdani isn’t contributing to an issue by using Twitch. You fail to understand that there is no such thing as ethical consumption under capitalism. Not saying don’t boycott, but you are up against forces bigger than Mamdani and your issues are not a single individual, yet you project them onto individuals. A tell-tale sign of a young person who wants change but doesn’t know where to direct it.
You aren’t having a conversation, you’re just trying to get mad at Mamdani for using Twitch when you didn’t want him to. That’s allowed, but him doing his fucking job is not the issue here, despite it being on Twitch.
We’re talking about making laws because that’s the solution to your problem.

“Streaming platforms” are not the problem. Big Tech is the problem.
For New Yorkers? He’s talking directly to people who he is responsible for. Maybe you should be educating those people on the impact of big tech like Amazon owning Twitch. They’re worried about grocery prices and getting to work on time so they don’t get fired and lose their only source of healthcare. They’re dealing with unfair labor laws and apparently a horrible landlord regime. I support any effort you make towards that kind of advocacy, but you are up against stiff competition for their attention, and therefore his.
I am aware of the issue. I don’t use Twitch. I will not watch Mamdani on Twitch. I am just letting you know, you need to talk to lawmakers about this and pressure them. This guy’s job is literally to listen to his constituents. Apparently, his constituents are speaking on Twitch. Amazon owns The Washington Post, Amazon TV, MGM, and Twitch. This is not good. Write your representatives and keep spreading awareness.
Why can’t he be?
Not saying he can’t. I’m saying whether or not he is. He’s the Mayor of New York City, not a senator or any other kind of law maker. It’s like saying “why didn’t Obama do medicare for all?” Well did congress propose that? He signs laws, not write them. That is the job of a lawmaker. Mayors and all other offices of governing are not offices of lawmaking unless your name is Trump apparently.

Agreed, but imo the world (and new york) has bigger problems than streaming platforms 😅 Not sure if Mamdani is the vehicle for that kind of change

He’s going where the working people are. That’s a people problem, honestly.

I’d like to believe that they were honorable enough
In the future, will you still believe Microsoft (or any other big tech company) has honor not to do stupid shit?
Azure (and all of cloud compute) is the Extend phase of open source. I’m just waiting to see what the extinguish one will be.

“Store owner invited robbers at night to steal their own goods” is how this article would word that

This isnt a leak. This is incompetency.

Get a load of this guy
Neuromancer reference, btw
how many farmers do you know? You understand many are black and you’re calling them welfare queens, right? I get that people think farmers are republicans or conservative but that’s just admitting you have outdated knowledge. The times have changed
NIMBY but city-dweller edition. “Stop covering up the farmland that you can’t make money off of and cover my parking lot instead”

very few people know or care about who schmidt is or was

But will there be enough to counterract the people who just use the app? That’s the real question. No one doubts a move like this increases fediverse people. So did the API scurfuffle, yet people still regularly complain about the fediverse being unpopulated.
I’ve been on fedi since 2015—over a decade. I know it’s gotten bigger. Yet, every year, for 10 years straight, are people who complain about how small the userbase is. I don’t see this at all changing that.

Bet

Direct deposit is after taxes. Bi-weekly or weekly deposit is the most common.
Okay but who does my sister’s in-laws in Maine vote for in the general election? They’re republicans mind you. Speak to them and about their tree farm now. You have a lot of words, use em. I’m sure you can whip them into shape to skip voting republican and skip voting for this guy and get them to vote for the real change. I’m rooting for you, you can do it! Looking forward to your response. You are the true leftist, after all. Your opinion is the correct one amongst us fools. Please forgive us for not seeing your enlightened ways.
