I think most hobbies have a few legends of the hobby.
I recently got into learning about foraging. There’s is one dude is Wisconsin who basically wrote “The Book” on foraging. Samuel Thayer has basically rewrote what is and isn’t edible. He tried all the old sources himself as well as doing checking ethnobotany sources and asking people native to the region about every plant. He’s got three books and the ultimate field guide. All his books and titles are the source of the new AI slop foraging books out there.

In my city there’s a glasswork studio that does classes and has studio space. I have made a stained glass snowflakes and leaves. It was fun. So look to see if they’re are studios

Nothing wrong with liking it then because you didn’t know. If you never have anything you cringe / regret / embarrassed about when you are younger you either have done nothing or learned nothing.

Ever article I see about lower fertility rate talks about how this will change the economic model. I always end up saying “good”. I get social security won’t work and that someone (us) will have to pay for it. But that’s true for so many things already where payments were deferred until now anyhow.
I feel like there’s more fear about this for billionaires and economists than regular people.

In highschool a few friends of mine waited to get the final Harry Potter book when it was released. We all got a copy and then I think I finished it that night so I talked with one of my friends about it the next day at work. Great fun but a little embarrassing to admit now. Fuck J.K. Rowling
My local garden shop has it.
But if you are ordering online I use Flawn. They also do other bee lawns and other plants. I had used their English daisy and Self-heal with some success. It takes some time to flower so hard to tell if my sowing are slow bloomers or didn’t germinate.
I have a beautiful grass and clover lawn in MN. It hasn’t been much harder to get growing than typical grass. Xeriscaping isn’t typically what it’s called here the midwest

It does seem like that modem right is just incels and other misogynists who escaped their Internet containment to become a political force. Why any women votes for and Republican let alone become one is beyond me? Same with anyone who loves (or even likes) a women in their life. What a bunch of weirdos

I have planted my vegetable garden. But that’s mostly for fun instead of for survival.
I have been doing some permaculture, foraging and native foods for fun. I think we should all know how to feed ourselves outside of big corporations. I have done lots of medicinal herbs over the last few years. I have been using them with my family and friends and it’s been delicious and fun. I keep finding new things I can use with things around my house.
My goal this year is going to be around drying foods. I had a fascinating learning / conversation with a native farmer from NATIFS about drying foods. Apparently you can basically dry everything with almost no supplies using sun and wind. So I want to practice with any excess fresh foods I have. I want to try to make my own dried soup mixes for the winter

Kung-Pow is an absurdist camp masterpiece. It won’t be defamed and aged like fine milk into a blue cheese. Not for everyone but amazing for those who get it

The reason for the difference is from the Norman invasion when the nobility were French. So they referred to the food only not the animal in their own tongue.

According to legend aving a theoretical physicist close enough can break any well designed equiment nearby. In the same way a good engineer can make the same equipment work by proximity only.
Logging into your porn alt to comment about unicorn lube. What a world we live in
Is it lube for unicorns or lube made out of unicorns?
Either way I want it

It was pretty good. Hearing Meryl sing terribly is interesting because she’s so good

That is true. Sex isn’t the main focus and there’s more slow building of sexual tensional and anticipation than actual sex. The world building and story is great with some great action chapters.

When Women Were Dragons a great standalone book reimaging the 1950 based on women spontaneously turning into dragons. It’s a concept book where a sociality issue is examined by fantasy tropes which are fun. Worth reading if you haven’t done a female perspective novel or concept novel in a while.
Most of my hobbies involve consumables. I love to garden, cook, herbalism (tinctures, salves, teas, etc.) and foraging. Making jerky would totally fit in what I would love to do.
I love making things to share with friends, family and myself. Also I LOVE to eat and drink so it makes sense to focus my time and energy on it. Go for it dude
