I too love it. I would keep it on a stand next to the door and rub its head for luck.

In 3 years my wife would win it on the divorce (specifically because I would spend hours in the middle of the night rubbing its head and muttering to myself) and set fire to it in an act of rebellion.

The smoke released from the fire would take the form of a dark specter and haunt the world for 5000 years.

That video is more of a (justified) takedown on sponsored content on Veritasium from 4 years ago and yeah, sponsored content sucks. I’m not saying that Veritasium is perfect, I’ll just have to keep an open mind while watching their videos going forward.

I’m surprised to find so much Veritasium hate on Lemmy. I always thought Derek and the team did a good job as far as edutainment goes. I also don’t like clickbait titles, but it’s worth noting that all of the videos are a real production with a crew of people who work full time and deserve to get paid.

There’s so many different jobs and situations out there, not everything is doom and gloom with employment or work. I assume you’re in school, which usually takes up just as much (if not considerably more) of your time commitment.

Serious question, what is the best solution to this? My household has three cars, the newest is from 2008. It makes me nervous as to what to do if I wanted a “new” car (I’d never buy an actual new car, just new to me and made in the last ten years).
