I feel like that whenever I’m driving my parents petrol car, when I’m used to my diesel car. It’s exactly the same car it’s just got a different engine, but it does totally different performance.

If I could afford one and could somehow figure out a way to charge it at home so I wasn’t relying on public charges then I would already have an EV.
The trouble is at least in my country the infrastructure is just not there, there will be like two chargers in a supermarket car park for 500 plus cars, and the markup on electricity is ridiculous.
For a lot of people EVs are just not practical yet, the issues that people have with them aren’t really to do with the cars themselves but all of the ancillary stuff surrounding them. E.g. my local mechanic has explicitly told me he can’t do EVs because he would have to buy all sorts of software products to be able to perform maintenance on them. That’s got to change that’s a ridiculous artificial lockout from the companies.
Also quite a lot of people don’t want a sporty car EV they would like other car types, and those don’t seem to really be provided by the manufacturers yet.

Doesn’t the door opening mechanisms on Tesla’s famously break all of the time?

How often are you driving 300+ miles?

Will the other reason that I can’t get and EV is because I have no way of charging it at home so I’d be 100% reliant on public charges and they cost a fortune because they overcharge for the electricity.

Even assuming those numbers are accurate it’s irrelevant. If I don’t have $60,000 then I can’t buy a $60,000 car even if it would be a sound investment over the long run.

I’m sorry I’ve read that headline a few times and it doesn’t make any sense anymore than the first time.
How are cars like Horses and what does that have to do with EVs? What’s this going on about?

Oh I see so they’ve finished with listening to their users have they? Back to business as usual buggering everything up.
How long did that take, that was about 3 weeks.

I’d like a different letter while we’re at it as well. I think q would be good. I want 2q data.

They certainly shouldn’t be allowed to sell 6G contracts when they’ve got the grand total of four towers up and an estimated completion plan way off in 2039.

I don’t think I understand any better what the battery is then I did before. As per usual Wikipedia sucks at explaining concepts that you don’t actually already understand.

The best one I’ve seen is where somebody run Minecraft via a VHS cassette. But that was fine because they weren’t claiming that the old CRT TV was now working as a computer, they just invented a Bluetooth VHS adaptor which in and of itself was quite cool.

It’s interesting though because if I have my game listed on Steam and then have my game listed on GOG for the same price technically the version on GOG is more expensive because they don’t take a 30% cut. So developers could still list their games on both platforms and not get in trouble with valve and still make a profit from listing it on other platforms. I know uplay does take a cut but presumably they don’t care to cut off their own profits.

I can’t really lug around a desktop all day

Try making that arguement in Texas or Alabama

I think the point is Steam could be a way worse product than it actually is and would probably make way more money than they currently do if they implemented these decisions. Sure it would really piss everyone off but there isn’t really an alternative is there?

The internet is now unusable without a privacy focus browser. I just click the yes to those knowing all the cookies are going to get deleted when I leave and all the data that they can collect is anonymized.

So you’re saying he’s in the Epstein files?
I mean he must be, it stands to reason.

I never understood the arguments about adding extra letters to the acronym. The suggestion seemed always to be that if I said “I support the LGBT community” I was actively discriminating against everyone else who isn’t included in that acronym, which of course was never actually a thing. You either support people of different sexual arrangements to yourself, or you don’t. I don’t know anyone who “only supports the gays”.
I also think it’s hilarious that they themselves seem to realise that it’s become a bit of an acronym soup, that people are struggling to keep track of, which is why they’ve included the plus at the end. Surely they could have just done that from the start?
Dude I’m only using your numbers.
