It’s the same as in Chinese, so I wouldn’t expect it to be 😅

Huh, TIL about xeriscaping
Took me way too long 😅 I had apparently managed to suppress the memory of that whole train wreck…
“Sea legs” would have been my suggestion
For context this was a REAL ad campaign from tech startup Artisan, that was plastered all over the Bay Area (and later elsewhere, including internationally) last year.

Exactly! The EU digital wallet spec is perfect for this: It allows for granular info like “is this person older than X years”, which is exactly what we want here! Not what Meta wants, obviously, but fuck them.

I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say that the problem is not the technology, but who controls it.
If we actually taught digital literacy in schools, and democratized access to technology, people could be making their own software made for solving problems instead of capturing attention!

For modes using electricity, losses during generation and distribution are included.
They should do this for the fossil fuel modes as well and see what that does to the numbers!

I think that goes in bags regardless?
Norwegian here, absolutely hate the stuff! Your description is spot on from my experiences.
Mildly infuriating?!

Great game! I’m currently on a trip to Japan, and I’ve thought about this game so much with all the Shinto shrines I’ve been visiting 🦊
I’m on iPhone, so don’t know about Android apps, but Mlem is solid for iOS!
Looks like the developer doesn’t know about the env(safe-area-inset-bottom) variable in CSS. Voyager is a web app, which is why it has this problem to start (I think), but that variable can be used as margin/padding to clear those buttons (and similar on other OS-es).

Hopefully it makes the same sound as well!
“Weighted” is also a very nice sort, that tends to lift up smaller comms.
The common term is “communities” or “comms”, I think.
I would try to look for servers dedicated to the subject you’re interested in and see what communities they have. Keep in mind that there are much fewer users on Lemmy than Reddit, so there might not be a specialized community for a given subject. And if there is, it might be very small/inactive.

No stupid rules of engagement
This sounds like a great way to get your planes shot down by allies!
I feel like there’s a significant overlap between those two nowadays 😅
