Nobody has a problem with Americans, Australians, New Zealanders etc keeping their own cats indoors - and in fact would likely support it in areas where they’re not a native species, or you’ve got dangers like those you outlined - the same as it’s supported in areas here in conservation areas, or areas with rare birds nesting.
The issue is the aggressive, abusive behaviour of those hijacking every thread which has a cat in someone’s garden, and insisting everyone else does the same in countries where cats have free-roamed and been part of the native ecosytem for a few thousand years.
Yeah, though I don’t remember the first one quite as well as the 2nd. I played them both a lot, on either Atari ST or Amiga.

I’d go for Uboat first, as it’s the one that’ll make most use of your new graphic abilities.
Also, you’ll be able to put it down after a while - most of the other games on that list are just setting yourself up for 200 hours of addiction. You need to ease yourself into that.
This is true (and worth noting that respawning is turned off btw!) - but there’s quite a few other multiplayer issues.
For example, there’s loads of issues with older players hogging all the resources and not giving new players much of a chance to get started.
It’s a free open world thing with really good graphics - but it’s multiplayer only, and PVP can’t be switched off.

I use a Logitech G920 with pedals and gear stick, which (as far as I remember) worked out of the box.
I used to have the simpler (and much cheaper) Logitech Driving Force GT, which had accelerate/brake pedals, but didn’t have a clutch or proper gearstick, but did have a sort of “up/down gear changer” sort of thing.
Anyway, they basically both worked on Linux.
I use pyLinuxWheel for configuration, but think Oversteer is generally used by most people these days.

Try a £30 Driving Force GT. If you don’t like it, you’ve not lost too much. Resell it for £30 again. If you love it, but start dreaming of clutch control and manual gear shifting, then you know you need to invest more.
As a Briton, I appear to use either the traditional “fuckin’ 'ell” or “shittin’ 'ell” or the somewhat nonsensical “shit the fuck”.
I’d be interested to see if I could train myself to switch to “Good Lord!”, like some sort of gritty Northern “My Fair Lady”.
