I played for a few hours because I got it for free. I’ve been begging my gaming buddies to give it a shot but the initial impressions and reviews still have them scared.
Seemed pretty cool imo

No it’s kinda great because there’s already a banging catalog of games and they’re dirt cheap!

Yup, I take the train and everyone who’s gaming is on their phone or a retro handheld. In the airport is a different story though.

Exactly. I’ve put more hours on my retro handheld playing ps1 and SNES games in the last year than I’ve spent on my desktop. It was $26, and I’ve hardly even dented the library it’s got.

What’s the deal with flashforge? I can’t find much except that they’re integrating some kind of AI modeling software with their studio program?

The core gameplay is solid. The story is fucking wack.

I actually use a 3d printed device that holds a switch joycon on either side of my phone. It works in both horizontal and vertical orientations and leaves the entire screen open. I only really use it for DS games and still prefer standalone devices, I’ve been killed by a notification blocking my phone screen too many times!

I had a whole thing typed out about why this thing feels inferior to a standalone. Then I realized it could be used for games developed for mobile, not just emulators. I get it now lol

But for $35 I can get a r3x variant which has a screen, why would someone choose this over that?

This is why a large part of me wishes you had to pass some kind of baseline intelligence test to vote. I regularly go on nextdoor to discuss local politics and basically every argument with a conservative feels like arguing with a mentally handicapped person. They only read headlines and aren’t smart enough to question their sources of information.
Recently they were up in arms because the conservative paper claimed the mayor’s office wasn’t being transparent. Actually reading the article it says the reporter requested an interview on the spot and halfway through it an assistant told the mayor they need to move on. Not even noteworthy but it was enough to get the trolls riled up

It’s like this everywhere. Blue cities get shit on by “local” (owned by a mega giant corporation) news, the dummies who live outside of the city go “the Democrat morons can’t do anything right!” Vote against the city’s interests, then line up for a handout as that same city funds the construction of schools and roads for their portion of the state.

That little floating copilot icon in excel is the devil’s work. I’m not a violent person but whoever came up with that should be flogged (IDK what flogging is but it sounds appropriate lol).

The amount of consumers who get a chub for overpaying is way too high. “Look at how much money I have! I can pay $3000 for a $400 product and not bat an eye!” Absolute schmucks.

Funny enough, in the 80s my uncle did bring a blender on a flight to Hawaii. Apparently the attendants were totally cool with them using a hand cranked blender to make margaritas for themselves and their neighbors.
Another family member was with him and corroborated the story, so I like to believe it’s true.

This guy is delusional, saying a $9 cup of coffee is affordable has “it’s one banana, Michael” energy.

I used to love this one as well. Starting off only knowing how to jump and slowly learning all the skills to clear stages. Going from the back of the pack learning enough to be mid, then leading the charge.
I probably only played for like 100 hours though lol

My god, I used to absolutely clean house in dods. Give me a k98 and I’ll give you a pile of bodies. Good times for sure.

I don’t mean streaming services are bereft of any decent content, a portion of their original stuff is good and a lot of their licensed stuff is good as well. I was just pointing out that just because it’s longer form, it doesn’t mean it’s automatically better than social media content.

Not saying it’s as bad as social media but the quality of content streaming services produce is pretty bad. Pretty sure I read the services actually dumb down a lot of content so it can be “second screen” content that can be followed while gaming or scrolling.
I print toys for my kids, small pieces to fix things and not much else. While I’ve got nothing to hide, but still find this unnecessarily invasive.
