  • No.

As others have said already, some people argue without reason, and so you can never win an argument against them; it has no bearing on whether or not you’re right, so it should have no effect on your opinion.

There’s also situations where you’re arguing from a perspective you aren’t fully confident in. If you can’t win, it’s not that you should change your mind, it’s that you should investigate the topic more deeply. It could be that that leads you to changing your mind; it could be that it reinforces your views; but not being able to win the argument, in that case, is only a sign that you should go learn more about the subject, I’d say.

  • Well, it’s OK. We’re just friends and have been living together for the past, I wanna say 7 years? Thereabouts.

She’s really needy sometimes, like she literally will not get off me, but at the same time she has this weird aversion to touch, like I can’t even glance her way and she thinks I’m insulting her or something.

And for eating?! Dude, she doesn’t cook, EVER! I cook for both of us! Well, for years now I don’t even cook, I just buy some cans of stuff for her and she eats it, doesn’t even bat an eye either. Her food habits are kinda nasty, though… I guess it’s different cultures? She doesn’t use cutlery at all, she doesn’t even use her hands, just straight mouth!

Also, I don’t mean to be uncouth, but she’s very hairy. Inhumanly hairy, I’d say; it’s weird, and annoying.

Anyway, her name’s Mimi, my cat.
