Thanks! everything is fine because the alert avoided the unattended pan with oil to catch fire. About 6 years ago this happened to a friend and they weren’t so lucky… but could have been much worse. Nobody got hurt, but the entire kitchen had to be renewed. They of course didn’t have a smoke detector. As almost nobody has in Spain.
This post got me thinking of installing smoke detectors in my home. Nobody I know has one, and it never before crossed my mind I should have one.
Thankfully I did get one installed. Two days ago it went off and saved our butt.

It’s a known tactic. Someone wants a portion of land for mining or development but it’s a protected forest. So they handout big cash to the locals to take care of it. And it becomes dangerous to first responders because they aren’t only fighting the fire.

It was also recommended to use premium to solve a jerky low rev response I was having, and surprisingly it worked. Irony is almost a national sport here in Spain. And yes sarcasm is widely used, but mostly in closed circles.
I think it’s kinda genius. High end is all about image. Their sport cars show racing heritage. With EVs they have the opportunity to branch out into something different, and not necessarily have to follow any guidelines. Same happened with their SUVs.
The most important thing is that it has to be recognizable. It won’t work if the Uber rich can’t tell a Ferrari EV from a Peugeot. And that I think is something they must work on, because it looks too generic.
