They believe whitehouse.gov/aliens is about actual aliens from outer space

My friend has been coming to me with all the UFO “releases” headlines, and I’ve been countering with more scientific objections. Always keeping a level head on the facts.
He came at me with that site (https://www.whitehouse.gov/aliens), asking, “Any .gov site is legitimately a government website, right?” I had to remind him that yes, while the whitehouse.gov site is an official government website, that site in particular, more than any other government website, is almost entirely driven by the incumbent president himself. And that because Trump desperately needs to distract from the Trump-Epstein Files ™, he’s gone ahead and made that Aliens page, where it’s presented literally as Aliens living among us, with typical cheesy sci-fi font and green coloring, then revealing, only as you scroll to the very bottom, that they are talking about “illegal” aliens, from Earth, entering the USA.
Trump is a piece of shit.

This is what it looks like if lawmakers are allowed to pass legislation forcing back doors in encryption…but worse because it wouldn’t be just Windows.

I just run my OS directly off my 5.25” floppy

Have they looked into middle-out lossless data compression developed by Richard Hendricks?

I don’t play Magic, but totally get this lol

Here’s the thing - when oil companies get the legal smack down, in many cases, it’s found that they themselves knew and admit to the damage they cause and cover that knowledge up. They continue to harm people and the environment as covertly as possible. So even they know they’re doing something wrong.
You can argue that environmental damage isn’t big oil’s fault, but big oil wouldn’t agree with you. Passing a law like this could only be acceptable to those in big oil’s pockets.

Please tell me there’s a source for that

Who was responsible for naming that group? Didn’t they realize that the abbreviation would be interpreted as Toilet Paper USA?
How did they not see that coming?
Paramount and CBS can suck it. I’m a Trekkie but it looks like I won’t be watching my favorite Star Trek shows for the foreseeable future.
