14·15 days agoBeen a long time since I’ve seen this movie, but I always thought the point of the neonazi was specifically to point out how alike the two were. At the end of the scene where he kills him, the scene is shot in a reflection in a mirror. He kills the nazi, nazi drops out frame in the reflection, leaving just the MC, who then shoots and shatters the mirror itself.
Wasn’t he also watching the neonazi through reflections in a store’s security mirrors earlier? It’s really been a long time.
I always assumed the point of the movie was to show how stupid the idea of the “White Man’s Burden” and white persecution complex was, with some critique of American exceptionslism thrown in.
I shouldn’t be surprised that some people took the exact opposite from the film and empathize with the MC. Kind of reminds me of Fight Club in that sense.

If you’re in the PNW it’s not likely a Regal. It could be a Bold? I cant see the pedipalps well enough in the pic to say for sure but I still think it’s a female just based on the big ol’ booty.

She’s a talented artist. For a time when she was younger she scored her dream job restoring vintage wooden carousel horses, and went on to do beautiful colored pencil drawings of them with fantasy backgrounds based on their backstories and ornamentation. She’s fuckin awesome.
She’s normally a phenomenal speller (she devours books), so this was very out of character for her. Luckily she’s also happy to laugh at herself. One of the many things I absolutely adore about her.
My mom fucked up a cake she made for my niece about 10 years ago, and we’ve made sure to tell her “Happy Birtday” every year since
