I can’t tell what Spectre units do but they look like maybe an option

Not OP but i haven’t had trouble with any financial apps except Google Wallet. A few warn me that the phone isn’t secure but that’s it. Google Wallet works except for payment cards, which i wouldn’t use anyway because of the tracking.

So that’s not what the paper says

Not to sound too facetious, but is that really a negative these days?

I hate to say it, but I just had Claude generate the guide. The docker container is the easiest way I think.

I just run an update when that happened and it fixes itself.

Its not crazy hard to install your own searxng instance. Works pretty well. The problem is that the Internet itself is turning into AI slop.

Also the old stuff still works great if you aren’t running AI. Hell I have a FX-8350 and a 1060 which is just fine for most things…and I think that CPU is from 2015.

Making it kinda suck to use the Internet at all. I try to look things up and its page after page of AI slop. We are going to end up back in the days of Altavista.

So actually it’s not as bad as that. I feel like I should write a guide.
Absolutely the hardest part was getting a static IP. More on that in a second.
Exim and dovecot are very, very mature pieces of software. Exim is difficult to configure, but once you get there, it doesn’t ever change. Now that the AI tools have gotten good, you can learn and configure it quite quickly.
For spam- life is so much better with pfsense running pfblocker. Also,bi set up a fail2ban feed to pfblocker to block IPs spamming, brute forcing, or otherwise misbehaving. Much of this already existed in fail2ban and I just have it dump its blocklist to text via a cron job that pfblocker loads.
The good IP is the hard part. For a while I just paid for one, it was about $20 more here for business class Internet that came with an IP. Eventually I cut costs.
You can do this basically two ways. Just get a VPS and install the mail server there, or get a VPS and install opnsense or pfsense there, with a VPN tunnel back home to your mail server. Haproxy handles it and wireguard is really reliable. I did hit a snag here because Google are buttheads and blocked the IP I had - literally no one else does. I actually don’t have too many people who use gmail that I contact so it has only been a tiny problem. But the first IP I had worked perfectly for years.
You need to set up SPF, dkim, certificates etc. But these are just text strings and let’sencrypt…once all set up it just stays that way. Apply updates when released and enjoy your own email server, which is awesome.

Problem is that it’s not only on boot. It’s any time the TPM is read. So also sleep and hibernation. Also dude is claiming he broke that too.

Only because there weren’t that many people on it.

All I remember about multiplayer Halo is Blood Gulch and spawn camping with the warthog. If someone else realized what you were doing and helped, you could just circle the other spawn platform and vulcanize the spawners. Was fun
It’s a little shocking to read about successful people who apparently have 36 hours in a day and don’t sleep. I can’t figure out where the energy comes from and how they do everything in such compact periods of time.
Suspension work is not my favorite, but depending on what it is, it may be not too bad. The proper tools make a huge difference.
I started a visual novel game. I have no idea what I’m doing but I’ve gotten really into it. The characters are really starting to grab me.I guess I’ll need to learn how to do digital art when the script and logic is done.

He’ll get to it after the buffering

I’m dead

I mean you keep hearing about manufacturing cof components stopping. Is that happening? Otherwise the market is still there, just not accessible to many of us.
All Steam has to do is let you buy credits that you can then spend on games. It’s slightly shadier but breaks the direct payment link.
