In Italy road rules are generally regarded as mild suggestions. Bikes and motorcycles on zebra crossings, cars engage in junctions even if they are not able to free them before red lights, causing gridlocks, and many things even much worse than that.

It’s a general problem, but people driving cars as assholes are concretely more dangerous.

I agree, but cars are the perfect booster for this behaviour: people is isolated from outside, protected with an heavy metal box that can move fast, scare people, act as a weapon, take a lot of public space. Without cars and car culture, the entitlement would be much weaker, and less dangerous

Totally agree. That part is awful.

But the general ideas behind the trilogy are completely mind blowing and extremely clever, and I find it difficult to find something similarly breakthrough. Maybe the space Odyssey series?
