Hello, my name is Dr. Glenn Pierce…

I spent too much time trying to get a configuration in which I could fit both the MiniPC and Router/Modem in the cabinet. This fixture came with the house, so I’m not complaining. I think I should swap out the surge protector (not even sure if it is one lol) for something more streamlined. And as for the mounted switch? That’s $2 velcro strips at Walmart :P

Yeah I think I have a before picture on here somewhere. It was less messy, but I’m not quite ready for a rackmount or other system. I’m not even sure I need to jump to that level lol. Unless you’re talking about the 2nd pic, oh it can get messy. I cleaned up a bit so it wasn’t too gnarly. Shoulda changed my background too, I usually go for greenery or abstracts.

Nothing fancy myself as well. Not unemployed but I don’t necessarily wanna spend a lot on something I’m really just cutting my teeth with so far.
The central hub is up top, a Bosgame P4 Mini with 16GB DDR4, 512GB NVMe and a decent last-last gen Ryzen 7. It’s enough to run Jellyfin, HA, and PiHole all through Proxmox. Been rock solid outside of a planned power outage Peco was doing (and actually did it this time!)
I also have Jellyfin connected to an 8TB RAID1 NAS that resides upstairs in our shared space, and HA connected to the basement tech, mostly lighting and the TV and PC.
Bonus battlestation pic (not really lol)

Something I inherited from my dad, but I do your standard dollop or two of mayo, can of chunk light in water, drained of course, and one of those little single serving boxes of raisins. Sounds weird but it’s delicious. Either eat with half a sleeve of saltines or throw it on some half decent multigrain.

TADC is real now? Caine vs Claude, fight!

I think this is what our one cat, Wolfgang, had a couple months back. We found he couldn’t pee one morning, and took him the emergency vet as well. Found the crystals, and our main vet recommend we do surgery (the 7k one above). In out case, we joke that Wolfie is our first trans cat, as the surgery basically reroutes the male urethra to be more female . Squiggly line to straight line, more or less. We also had to put him on a special pH balanced dry food diet, and he seemed to get accustomed pretty quickly although he still begs for food when our other cat Phil gets fed (literally a half hour apart).
It wasn’t easy to pay the bill, as that’s a tough cookie to swallow. Household of 3 adults, and we made it work.
I hope your little one passes any stones/crystals easily going forward!
While I feel we all go through loss of a loved one, pet or otherwise, it never gets easy. I lost two last year, one to cancer, who was also a void baby. I know Zee will get the care & love they deserve in those final moments, and they pitter-patter over the rainbow bridge carrying that with them. 🫶 🌈

Yassss!!! While I am more fond of the quirky side of VotV (the aforementioned Criken2 streams), the atmosphere of the game is something else.

I got started with all his Garry’s Mod VR stuff and was hooked from there. Granted it to me two years after that to even boot GM up in VR lol
Would be cool to see VOTV in VR too!

Haven’t played it myself yet, but it’s a fun watch when peeps like Criken and the Librarian play.
Awesome to see it get more popular.

Ugh… and I am not even surprised if they lean on the modding community to fix the damn game… AGAIN. Don’t get me wrong, the fan community has done some phenomenal strides, but maybe… like for example with Project Zomboid, despite being a much smaller dev team, has a HUGE modding community, and they then hire them on to expand their team. Sure Beth does that too, but you’d think they’d improve or switch engines to something with gusto. And seeing the lukewarm reaction to Oblivion Remastered, throwing a layer of Unreal over top a very dated engine doesn’t fix things.

Feels like a precursor to Repo. Throw some Cyberpunk 2077 in for good measure.

Can confirm. Drive a '14 Gen 3 and it’s been pretty damn reliable in the ~10 years I’ve owned it. Looking at a midrange EV in the next year or two tho. Got the Prius cuz I was driving 90 miles a day. I drive maybe 15 now.
This is not the Batman I was expecting.
