Direct Attached Storage. It’s kinda like NAS but not in network. One could argue it’s just an external hard drive. If I remember correctly I went with one because it was more affordable. I was on a tight budget at the time.

The 80s had amazing TV show theme songs. If I only had to pick one it would be Miami Vice.

My favorite film is Strange Days. When I was about 11 or 12 years old I saw the trailer on TV. The imagery and music in the trailer hooked me. I was too young to watch an R-rated film at that time, but about a year later I watched it on the cable box at home. I loved the film. The opening scene set the grittiness of the rest of the film. It was also the first time I watched scenes from a film shot in first person, and they did all that before small cameras like GoPros existed.
The soundtrack is terrific. I think I bought the CD at Tower Records, I still have that in storage somewhere. Since the DVD release back in the early 2000s I’ve made it a thing to watch the film every December.

I love SomaFM! Been listening since the early days. My favorite channels: Groove Salad Classic, DefCon, Vaporwaves, Department Store Christmas (during the holidays).
Star Citizen. I’m less disappointed in the tech demo than how Chris Roberts has handled the business end of it.
I grew up on Wing Commander, Privateer, Starlancer, and Freelancer. I still have all those games on physical media with original boxes. And the Wing Commander CIC is the one website I still visit daily since 1997-ish. So when Roberts pitched a new space game back around 2012 I was thrilled. Well, we all know how that turned out. I’ve given up waiting for any release of Star Citizen and Squadron 42.
