Two apps. One for youth coaches the other to teach novices how go play a position in a soccer formation.

FUTO Keyboard is what I’ve been using for a while. It’s no where near as good as Gboard, but it also isn’t stealing literally everything I type.

Sorry I should have thought to lead with that. It’s a prusa xl, in an old creality enclosure. It isn’t heated but stays pretty consistent. This is eryone pla

Being honest, I’d printed this 5 or 6 times before with the default supports. Most of the time it was fine but the last two times it was falling over and basically making a messy bridge. So I tried organic supports, which is what we see here.

That does seem to be a good suggestion. I think I’ll do that.

I took the default prusa slicer snug setting. Though I will check tomorrow to see what else might be set. I remember when reading up on organic supports that there were some suggested changes to support settings. Maybe I changed something… I don’t think so though.

Maybe, this is in an enclosure though, so that seems fairly unlikely

That’s a good idea, maybe I’ll go e that a go tomorrow

Its not only that the ui/ux is bad. It’s that the people working the project seem to constantly rename, or change tool names which effectively eliminated every YouTube tutorial that came before. I’ve tried several times to get into it, and still recognize how necessary it is that it exists and thrives, so I keep trying. But ffs, be consistent.
Real Questions, is there a competitor that offers the same feature set? Last I looked no one had anything to compete with github actions.
I bought the fp6 with /e/os preloaded. It’s generally fine but there are some annoying issues. The most annoying is the brightness detection I’d awful. It defaults to the lowest setting at pretty much all times and adjusts do much that I gave up and turned it off and have been managing it manually.
I never was able to get rcs messages to work
Google maps has basically stopped working Which I’m actually not that upset about.
The default launcher sucks, but I installed Fossify launcher which is great.
There’s no digital assistant, but I ended up getting perplexity to work for that.
On the flipside, the battery life is incredible.
The tracker blocking is amazing.
MicroG is really good.
Costco are shelf stable cardboard
Good to know! All our devices are /e/os or GrapheneOS.
Got it, roll my own dns server and disable it on the aginet device
Ahh, so basically take dns off the aginet router.

I believe Murena Maps is working on implementing traffic data. I don’t love their turn by turn, but if they do get traffic data, I’ll use it.

Not VIN 212, check out youtube channel, the Questionable Garage.

Thanks for doing this, I was debating doing the same. It needs to exist.
With valve implementing an arm emulator, it feels to me like that’s going to really tip the scales going forward.
Thanks, I’m debating open sourcing the second one, it’s a simple app to show formations and movement for in posession and out of possession formations. I’m making it specifically for my indoor soccer team, but I’m making it have outdoor 9v9 and 11v11 formations too.
If you want to follow the progress I will be posting on mastodon about it soon.

The first one is a much bigger app, written in Rust/Slint with a hosted back end. It’s primary goal is to make it easier for youth soccer coaches to have access tons drill library, automated practice plans that take into account when your games are and focus on keeping your players healthy. It applies a little data science to wellness based on subjective player ratings. I built in a very simple 5 question email to the players that is basically, 1-5 how is your fatigue, how tired do you feel, how sore do you feel etc… The coach gets a player fitness score when they make their lineup for the game. Which is a neat drag and drop roster to field UI.
Im pretty proud of it. I’ve already got it on the play store using the internal testing track and am trying to find coaches to test it.
