Push notifications and having an icon on the home screen is important, I guess. Most Russian banks did improve their mobile websites but generally, people still prefer apps.

Well, it works as usual. The way it works is they probably add a spoof UI that only shows when they detect a reviewer’s IP, and when published, the app shows the regular banking app.

Haha. This happens so often, people have no idea. Every Russian bank does this, they publish seemingly unrelated apps under unrelated App Store dev accounts, share the links on their socials as fast as possible before the apps get taken down, then they just repeat the process when they need to update their apps. I guess generally they don’t pop up on global/US rankings but still, people use them and they get taken down all the time.

I’ve seen this on an electric Dodge Challenger (which is also quite ugly in my opinion). This hole and the wing above it act as a spoiler and fast cars need all the downforce they can get, so I guess this will become a norm for fast electric cars in the future.

Haha. Right now I’m untangling the mess of a small team that decided to use AI as their project manager (well, not exactly, but close enough). One thing I can say for sure is it did not work. Just like with development, you still need a human who knows what’s what to manage AI and keep it in check.

You can export the data as either CSV (for tables) or PDF (for pages). I’m not worried about lock-in, Notion makes it easy enough to switch if you want to.

Westkust. Found them through Keep Driving, loved them, looked them up, and was super disappointed to learn they broke up. At least there’s Makthaverskan with some of their ex-members and a similar sound.

It wasn’t horribly laggy on my Pixel but it definitely was less performant than a page like this should be.
I never managed proper training with the correct hands positioning so my hands are a bit all over the place. But years of Twitter, Reddit and online gaming (yeah, I was that type for some time) helped a lot so now I can type fairly quickly in both QWERTY and ЙЦУКЕН.
Workers and Resources is pretty janky and it’s really unfortunate because the premise of the game is so interesting but it just doesn’t work in practice. I also played a lot of it in Early Access but dropped it hoping it would get better with time. Turns out it’s just as janky after 1.0 release.
I guess Apex Legends could be a game I fell out of love with, a couple of years back. I don’t even know why, I enjoyed the mechanics and the level design but something stopped clicking for me. Maybe I just got burned out on it.
Yeah, I also forgot to add that in a Russian bank, you can give the clerk your iPhone, they’ll plug it in their computer and install the banking app as a dev version or something. It’s fascinating.
