AI is already a better search engine for code. The programming skills will become so good that it can create minimal viable products. All the ideas that have been abandoned for lack of funding, they will be realized.

It will become good enough for autonomous killer drones.

Unlike nuclear bombs, the drones will be deployed.

That’s a bad deal because that part has nothing to do with Christian Easter and Christmas.

They don’t have the means to produce at scale

Neither does Apple. The production is easy to outsource.

Whoever wins will dominate the world. Stopping is no option.

To prevent AI, laws are needed, like they are needed to end slavery. Laws don’t change the origin, just the opportunities. So if somebody finds a new opportunity, that opportunity is used.

In theory, it’s possible to prohibit AI all over the world. But like slavery, people will find ways to get it anyway.

The difference between laws and physically changing the world.

Think of all global resources and all economies that slowly leave imperialism behind. Things must get more expensive without wages adjusting to give everybody their fair share.

Wasn’t there an exploit AI that worked and found many zero days? Could it be that there was so much to change because so many exploits were found?

Now people watch their phone while eating and the public discourse is filled with their algorithm infused opinions.

Globalisation took care of the rest. Children still work, slaves still exist, but not visible to us.

AI can be hidden but not prevented.

How is that working right now?

We have Capitalism, not a free market economy. The elite has regulated some industries like medicine or weapons and is making disproportional profits which gives them money to buy politicians.

Let the companies cut jobs. The fewer workers in an industry the better. We went from 99% farmers to 3% which allows us to have our civilisation.

We don’t have 100% employment because of regulations. That greatly reduces negotiation power of the workers. If there is a shortage of jobs, use Keynes to create them.

How do you think that can be implemented? Isn’t it easier to increase competition?
