Not necessarily, Iran wasn’t taking the threat from Israel and the US seriously when Khamenei the elder was assassinated, but they certainly are now. I think it depends on how much intel Israel is still getting from inside Iran

Hegseth’s father was a basketball coach for high schools across Minnesota before retiring in 2019; his mother is an executive business coach who has taught with the Minnesota Excellence in Public Service (MEPS) Series, a fellowship and leadership program for Republican and center-right women.
She’d probably say “You’ve always been a disappointment to this family. You should’ve gone to war with Iran last year.”

it was never meant as a directed/individualistic comment
You should probably have said something like “my bad” and explained yourself then, rather than insult people who read your words and all took the same thing away from them. Your intentions are meaningless when your words don’t explain them

“How willing have you been to go and put your life on the line to stop these atrocities?”
Literally puts life on line to help others
“Why are you so stupid that you don’t understand my rhetorical device?”
You could just say “good work” and move on rather than debase yourself like this

They’re not thinking that far ahead

First thing I thought of. I wouldn’t put it past our current leadership to think blocking out the sun is a good idea

What’s not true there?

Way less than $5 per tank, more like 5¢/gallon at an average gas station. They make 70¢ off me filling my tank.

What the fuck
How would it be unhealthy? Do you not wash your ass in the shower? Does spit and snot not come out of your body in the shower?

I mean, regardless of your opinion of the geopolitics, the first Gulf War was clearly defined and well executed

I would legitimately wonder whether both of them were sexually assaulted as children. This sort of thing doesn’t typically manifest from nothing

What you see on this map is the Hispanic population overwhelmingly supporting Talarico over Crockett, and vice versa for the black population. This bodes well for a general election, given Texas is 40% Hispanic.

East Texas is also significantly more African American, even in the small towns

Def not, her district is barely changing and is heavily Democratic. You can compare the old and new boundaries on the map here

Just riffing off the headline here, but owning a dog is directly associated with engaging in the act of walking a dog, and walking is pretty well established to be good for overall health. There’s no reason to assume there isn’t causation when there very well could be
In 1887, a group of American Civil War veterans from Pennsylvania planning a reunion at Gettysburg proposed the return of Confederate battle flags from three units, including the 28th Virginia battle flag, in hopes of enticing Confederate veterans to attend. Grover Cleveland, then president of the United States, issued an executive order in support of the plan. However, many Union veterans opposed the idea, as did some Southerners. Opposers included then-Governor of Virginia Fitzhugh Lee (a Confederate veteran and the nephew of Robert E. Lee) as well as Jefferson Davis who stated that the flags belonged to the capturing states and that returning them would break “all known military precedents”. Cleveland eventually rescinded his executive order.
We have forgotten our history.

Is there any evidence this is happening at Ars Technica? They’re pretty transparent about their methods, and obviously tech-savvy. Just because it happened at Teen Vogue doesn’t mean it’s happening at Ars. Conde Nast publications seem to be run pretty independently. Take The New Yorker, their content remains amazing and seems fully independent.

Tbf, I didn’t read the article. But the title…
Say no more. Please
Are we reading the same article? It says it was a counterprotester who threw this into the right-wing group
