Are we still pretending the constitution matters?
/u/outwrangle before everything went to shit in 2020, /u/emma_lazarus for a while after that, now I’m all queermunist!
Are we still pretending the constitution matters?

An adult would probably be okay if they only drank from a single human too, at least, depending on the human.
There’s just no sustainable or practical way for every single adult to have their own milker, regardless of species.

They’re protesting for more violence.

Forget adults, humans in general shouldn’t be drinking cow’s milk. That’s the entire reason it needs to be pasteurized.

And so it’s kind of silly to say that Dems turned to the right because of 9/11, when the only president we have to base that off of was Clinton. The same president that oversaw right-wing welfare reforms and crime reforms and helped NATO bomb several countries.

There was literally only one Democratic president between Regan and 9/11

It gets medical questions wrong 15% of the time.
The problem with your question is that there’s never going to be a question it gets wrong every time, because it’s probabilistic. You might as well ask “what question can I ask my dice that will reliably produce a wrong answer?”

The US has been eating itself alive since Reagan. 9/11 is just when it reached a tipping point.

Well Israel also has compulsory military service, so effectively, free healthcare comes from doing war crimes.
You can get free healthcare by doing war crimes for the US too.

AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
China is putting data centers in the ocean to cool them and powering them with wind.
It’s an interesting idea, if nothing else. Not sure if it’ll be good for local marine life to have data centers warming the ocean, though.

We’re all paid by the Kremlin to influence this obscure underwater basket weaving forum.
As goes Lemmy, so goes the world. 👀

US and Israel are no longer pretending to be different countries.
There’s a in-build assumption that the LLMs are going to advance; people assume all tech always advances forever.
It can’t, not really. All LLMs hallucinate, no matter how much compute and how much data we feed them. It can be good for making quick and dirty slop, but that’s the limit of what it can ever achieve because of fundamental limitations of the technology.
That isn’t to say generative AI won’t get better, but there’s nothing to fear from this particular dead-end technology.
They want you afraid.

Except sometimes conservatives go out and shoot people.

Well. It worked for over half a century; from the end of WWII to the 2008 financial crisis if I had to give a timeline. There’s a generation of white workers who have actually never known a world without access to imperial superprofits, and they’re also reliably the most right-wing segment of the working class. The privileged segment of core workers even grew for the first few decades of that period, with more and more workers getting access to the superprofits of empire through various reforms and movements. Stagnation set in with the introduction of neoliberalism, but it wasn’t until the financial crisis that it actually began its decline.
I’d learn if I practiced.
The problem is that I’m not using those keys very often, so it doesn’t stick in my mind.
And there’s no way I’m going to practice either. There’s basically no point for me.
I can handle most typing by touch but there’s no way I’m going to remember the ampersand, carrot, and percentage keys.

None? But that grant money is the only way they can actually do anything.
Sprinkling AI buzzwords into grant proposals is how the sausage is made.
But in that case, the Constitution is irrelevant. It would be impossible even if there wasn’t a 5th amendment.
All that matters is who is in charge of the heights of political power, the law is a fiction they use to legitimize their authority.
