  • somebody: makes anything
    lemmy: we hate this

I love how the culture of the fediverse is consistent. it hates everything, everywhere, all at once, and all of the time.

I tried to get my friends off of reddit on it and that’s what they always commented about, so they’ll never join.

I use the continuwuity server. Thank you to the devs for all of the hard work!

  • you’re sounding like my parents after they go on a rant about small government and then want to micromanage how other people sit in a seat.

I mean, I understand that Americans are generally allergic to the idea of existing with other human beings and have zero concept of shared space. Frankly, I find this opposition to people reclining in a reclining chair to be comically ridiculous. But as I said before, we live under capitalism. You can always offer to pay them to not do it. Find the market price for not reclining ina reclining chair. It’s a fair trade.

  • of course there are far fewer users, but a few times I’ve gone back to see if I was missing something and of the 25 posts on the home page, it felt like more than half were reposts of some ask reddit question to bait interactions that I’ve seen before, followed by what appeared to be bot posts, then maybe like 3-5 user posts. Of course, specific, niche communities should be better, but as far as home experience, I have a hunch that it’s mostly bots.

since Lemmy and the like don’t have a motivation for that and the people in general hhhhaaaaaattee bots, I think that it may appear to be less than it is when you remove reddit’s bot content
