Just pretend that the past was great like a conservative. Surely there weren’t any problems for anyone who wasn’t a wealthy land owning white man in the global west right?
Yes, this is true. The reason I said likely is that CO2 is frequently present in the gas used to suffocate animals.
Yes, this is why I stated that chicken slaughtering was free of distress and suffering only in some cases. Farmers are highly incentivized to take shortcuts which result in worse methods and higher error rates. I remember hearing about how pigs are frequently suffocated using CO2 even though using inert gasses or other methods would trigger significantly much less distress.
It highly depends on the process. Suffocation is likely to cause distress while I would doubt that using a stun gun could cause any pain or distress if properly calibrated. Of course, errors are not uncommon in the real world and significant issues occur when stunning is unsuccessful.
This is inaccurate to the majority of mass produced chicken. Mature chickens are stunned before being slaughtered. This can be accomplished in three major ways: electrocution, suffocation, or mechanically striking the brain. In many cases the chicken does not suffer pain or distress. What is more valid to criticize is how male chicks are killed. Due to a lack of regulation, farmers frequently toss them into a grinder while still alive and conscious.
Edit: You shouldn’t crop out the credit to the artist. Brand recognition is essential to their livelihood.

I agree with your point about the other terms, but in this case saying something like “immigration shouldn’t have restrictions” is clearer and still concise.

Legality is not equivalent to morality. Someone can be in a country illegally even though they should be allowed to be there.
all furniture was assembled by hammering wood screws
This required making screws from special-grade low-quality steel
Were they made of wood, steel, or both?
The limiting factor is definitely fatigue, assuming we already don’t care about morals. I could probably take on like 3-15 waves of them, depending on how big they would be.

What I really meant by “general populace” is the funny people in my phone with strong opinions about everything. For some reason almost everyone IRL cares so little about basically everything, no matter its importance.

Yes, I would surely imagine this is the case, and that if I were to talk to farmers I would have a greater understanding of the subject. In essence, this is my point—that there should be more discussion about this to more inform the general public. My lack of understanding of the topic is representative of the broader tends among the average person. Furthermore, I would imagine them to be even less informed than my already uninformed state due to their lack of interest in the subject.

Is your point that it’s hopeless to discuss it because farmers are unwilling to adopt new practices or because we’ve maxed out and no progress is possible, quickly revealed by talking to any farmer? Or is it that you believe me unworthy to talk about it because I am among the urban majority? It’s unclear from your line of questioning.

I wouldn’t say that the emissions are all from energy use. Cement and steel making both directly emit CO2 (From coke or calcium carbonate), which makes up a significant portion of global emissions.

While switching to plant based food is an obvious course of action which would have drastic benefits, several other methods exist by which agricultural emissions. These include:
The joke is a pun. A kid being a doll can mean that they are adorable or it can mean that they are a toy. The comic subverts the expectation that the kid would have a positive response to being called adorable with a negative response to being called a toy.
