Fuck yeh!
I loved the first GTA but I played on PC. I still have the game music files I copied from the PC copy on my mp3 player now. I really loved that soundtrack!

I mean, you don’t have to buy those absurdly expensive single cards to have fun. I bought my first cards in 1997 and have been playing on and off since then. I have only ever bought pre made decks or booster packs, not once have I even been tempted to buy some stupidly expensive single card.
You can buy a starter pack that comes with two decks for you and a friend to learn to play with for like £15 - 20.
I won’t deny some of the shit it out of control expensive but you don’t need any of that trash to both learn to play and have fun with it!
Not my jam at all but variety is the spice of life and it would be boring if we all liked the same stuff.
Good to hear that you have recovered from that brutal accident though and even better that you haven’t been put off of riding! Stay safe out there :D

Thanks so much for the additional feedback. I did get the game downloaded last night but havent had a chance to actually boot it up and play yet.
I think I’m going to return and give it another go. I hope to enjoy the gameplay as I loved the customisation part last time. Any game that has Work Equip 01’s automatically gains points for me xD

I haven’t, no, just that brand. The one package of wax I bought lasted me a year before I decided to empty out my pot (I use a wax melting pot designed for body waxing but is basically the same thing as a crock pot) and replace the whole thing with clean stuff.
I have just bought some more of the same brand because I had had good success with that one and when I looked at what else was available it was either more expensive or contained Teflon which i didn’t want due to the environmental aspect.
I also did a bit of research into making my own (see the video I posted to another reply in this thread as an example) but came to the conclusion it would cost me the same or a bit more in money and last me less kms so I just went with what I have experience with already.
I too do the two chain swap although I’m considering getting a third just for winter. My pot takes 3 to 4 hours to heat up and melt all that wax so especially in winter if I can spend a day at home switching through and waxing all the chains I think having 3 will make my next winter more bearable as I really don’t want to go back to disgusting, dirty oil!

You may find this video by Trace Velo helpful where he goes into details of a replacement product he substituted the Teflon for and has had good results.
However personally I use the Silca secret chain blend which although marginally more expensive than what he is talking about I have found last a lot longer than he experienced so it evens out cost vs distance wise, if not being slightly better bang for your buck and they claim is environmentally friendly with no Teflon :)

Using the silca “secret chain blend” wax and using one application of their “super secret chain wax” direct lubricant at the first signs of a squeak that indicates it is going to need rewaxing soon I average around 400km per waxing during the dry months of the year.
I just make sure I give the chain a wipe with a dry microfibre cloth every now and then to remove any dirt and it is pretty much good to go.
I have only been waxing for just over a year and I am still honing my technique, particularly in regards to the chain cleaning in between each waxing. The cleaner the chain the better the adhesion of the wax so I’m hoping to improve those numbers a little bit over time but I don’t think I have too much room for improvement.
The best I have had so far was 550km on one chain waxing. The worst I had was 150km when it was very wet.

Oh really? That is good to know and to be fair I was so pissed off after anxiously waiting for the release and then it being pushed back a few months to improve some stuff the disappointment hit me hard and I didnt look for any updates out of spite.
The only thing I’m glad of is that I tried out a pirate copy before dropping money as I just don’t trust game companies these days and my cautiousness was proved right again.
I might look for an updated repack this evening to try and give it a go with a newer version but I would appreciate an opinion too if you fancy playing some as I may not get time.
Thanks for the response!

Have they improved the handling model in updates for JDM?
I played the demo over a year before release and was super excited for the full release as it handled somewhat like NFS: Underground 2 era which i was OK with.
Full release came around and I tried it out but something was just off and the handling model felt janky and horrible to me. Has it improved over time? I really want to play it to mod out some sweet JDM rides but just couldn’t stick with it that first try as it was just not fun to play.

Mine looks like this permanently!
The wonders of waxing instead of oil <3 (although I won’t be nearly as positive about it in winter when I’m rewaxing that cunt every 200km)

That suits me, I couldn’t care less about the smart watch crap that is included on most of their watches, I have it for the fitness tracking. So even better!

Appreciate the replies and definitely going to look into this watch a little bit more. I like the aesthetic of it and the fact it still has buttons as that is an absolute must for me.
It seems like I record more activities than the average person so probably can’t get as much life out of it but even one extra day is a 50% improvement over what I get right now!

Just had a look at this, interesting, although it is bolstering its battery life with solar power.
Do you have real world experience with it? Does it last as long as it claims? I have to charge mine every 2 - 3 days as it is right now.

Judging by all the replies it seems like the Venu watches have exceptionally good battery life in comparison to all the forerunner models I have had!

That makes more sense I guess as I know the GPS is a major battery drain. Maybe that model is also better with battery in general as I know for sure none I have ever owned would last that long just using it as you do. :)

Are you not recording any activities / using any GPS?
Obviously everyone has different use cases and experiences so I don’t want to disregard other experiences it just seems so far out of reach for me compared to the experiences I have had across 5 or 6 different models of their watches over the years.
I have mostly used different iterations of the forerunner range and a Vivosmart which was fucking trash IMO.

10 / 15 days! No way. I have owned multiple garmin watches over the years and none of them have ever lasted 10 days, even when brand new. Even if you don’t actually use them for recording activities I can’t see them ever lasting that long.
My current watch is admittedly 4 years old at this point so I expect some degradation but I average 3 recorded activities a day and the battery will last 3 days at the absolute best and that is running it down to like 2%
I like garmin hardware but struggle to believe anyone is getting 10 days or more from a single charge!

No. I’m saying that it would be awesome if there were different form factors available. OK…
Your analogies make no sense either.
I presume the headline is alluding to how eventually people accepted cars are better than horses but then your “better” analogies make no sense.
Auto vs manual, neither is “better”, it depends more on situation and personal preference. I’d take a manual over auto any day personally.
Power steering vs not again depends on application. I’d rather have no power steering in a little sports car and get more positive feedback but would rather power steering on some heavy unwieldly vehicle.
A map vs sat nav bullshit. I’m guessing more people would argue the latter being “better” in this case but there are plenty of people who would rather read a map and know exactly where they are rather than blindly follow shit.
So yeh I really don’t understand what you are driving at with your analogies and don’t think they work for the context unless I’m misunderstanding :)
