Marriage is something for the wealthy. If you live on welfare in my country and you get married or share a household, you get less money. Also, if you want to marry a foreigner, you need to earn a minimum amount of money, which is unobtainable for a lot of people. This is on purpose to make sure we get less “poor foreigners” here. So marriage is not and never will be for me.

That sucks, but I can see that happening. The first time I played my thumb got a bit stained, but after adjusting my grip it’s been fine. Everybody’s hands are different of course, so I don’t know what would work for you.
The controls are okay, but it’s very obviously a game designed for mouse and keyboard. I use the right track pad to control the pointer, and one thing I’ve found that makes it easier in building mode, is just moving the camera with the left stick instead of trying to move the pointer to draw a long wall for example.
Some things just remain annoying though, like scrolling through the endless list of wallpapers. There’s just no way around moving the pointer all the way to the arrow to click to the next page and back again to select something. It is what it is. I just accept that it’s a slower experience.

I’ve been playing The Sims 2. The “Legacy Collection” was on sale the other day and I installed it on my Stream Deck. My feelings of nostalgia got the better of me and I’ve been playing it a lot. It’s just so nice to relax with a fun game that I already know and that isn’t demanding.
It runs well on the Steam Deck by the way, I haven’t had any crashes yet. It was a bit tricky to get the console cheats working, but you can set up a button for that. Next thing I’ll try is add some mods.

Payment methods are used to confirm your country of residence for region locking purposes. If the payment method and billing address aren’t from the same country, the payment method will be denied as anyone can fill in any address they find on the internet, but payment methods like bank cards need to be tied to an actual address. This is also why it’s hard (though not impossible) to purchase digital gift cards for people in other countries.
Hmm yeah, I have a small window in my front door and I’m always conscious about the fact that somehow could see me when I walk past it. I need to get a curtain or something…

You can always just load the page of your instance (lemmy.org) in a browser, sign in, done.

I’ve been playing this too the past few days, I like it. The thing with the painting is, after you’ve painted for a while, you get perk points which you can spend to paint faster. You get assignments in your email inbox and there you will learn new skills and get money.
Since you’re not the kind of person to do the same thing over and over though, I wouldn’t recommend this game. I think I’m more that kind of person, but I’m already getting tired of it.

For literally every other conjugation of that verb, you should use “run.”
Except third person singular present tense, as in “my cousin runs a hotel”, “it runs in the family” etc.

Growing up I really loved the animated series Alfred Jonathan Quack or Alfred Kvakk in Norwegian. It’s about a duck, his farther (I think) is a mole and the antagonist is a nazi-styled crow called Dolf. My favourite episode was about this island they visited which turned out to be the shell of this gigantic turtle.
Another favourite was The World of David the Gnome. It’s about a gnome who lives in or under a tree and has all sorts of adventures with animals. The books it’s based on are also great, I still have them.
I don’t know if you can still find these series since they’re pretty old.
Oh like that, yeah, then that link won’t help either. I’ve had that happen a few times as well, or maybe only noticed it a few times. It’s very frustrating indeed.
