I’ve got a refurbished Samsung Galaxy Watch 3. I picked it up for $30 a few years ago, and I love it.
Mostly just use it to tell time and track fitness. It can do speech-to-text, so I’ll occasionally use it to respond to a text message while my hands are full.

Not having a degree isn’t as prohibitive as people make it out to be. The biggest difference is the time it takes: most of my colleagues are 10-15 years younger than me. They got to get real desk jobs straight out of college, while I spent a long time working in warehouses and doing logistics. So in the long run, they’ll probably earn more money than me and they were able to start saving for retirement sooner, but I’ve gotten more varied experiences, better anecdotes, and I’m not steeped in debt. Worthwhile trade to me.
I can. They’re propping up the whole stock market at this point. Pretty much the definition of “too big to fail.” So when they inevitably fail, Congress is going to give them our tax dollars.

Anecdotally, my job trained every office employee on AI tools back in March, encouraging everyone to think of ways to incorporate the tools into their standard work. As of last week, they’re asking us to get prior authorization to use their AI portal as a way to limit requests.
So some Fortune 500s must be feeling the squeeze on AI.
It’s only an average. While Trump is awake, it’s closer to 5/6, and once he’s nodded off for nap time, the ratio drops precipitously.

Camera-based violations are typically civil instead of criminal. AKA pay fines instead of getting points on your license or facing jail time.
If you want the jet-black cynical take, this is because repeat offenders are better for the municipal budget than turning them into non-drivers.
A more measured take is that it’s very hard to prove who was driving just based on these cameras, so while the registered owner can be civilly responsible for what their vehicle did, it’s a bigger challenge and expense to prove that they’re criminally responsible.

Off the top of my head, I can only get to six. But I don’t think I could come up with that many white heroes with lightning powers.
I’m not a nostalgic person by nature. I’m not out here pedaling a story about “back in my day” because I know the '80s and '90s were awful in a lot of ways for a ton of people. But I do believe that the internet peaked by the mid-aughts. I got a good 15-20 years of this one thing getting cooler, more diverse, more accessible. But once corps started figuring out how to actually monetize the internet and create their walled gardens, it was all downhill.
This is exactly why they do it. It’s a very old sales technique: show them something wildly outside their price range so that they are more open to items that are just a little above what they wanted to spend.
Ah, yes, putting all the skilled labor in jail will surely help the factory run better.
PS+ does have higher tiers with more benefits. The mid-tier one gives access to a ton of PS4 and PS5 games, and the top tier adds older games and cloud gaming.
And even base PS+ has SharePlay. That’s got to be my most-used feature, but I never see people talk about it.
