I’ve only looked at Canada and Japan personally, but I can add that Japan also does this. The process of immigrating is to effectively prove you’ll be a net positive on their economy if you live there, limiting disability is one way they can do that.
I mean, it is objectively more realistic, more detailed, handles lighting more naturally. But it’s also not the character the artist designed anymore, and is just modified at the last stage of rendering to be a generic llm ai character, by your gfx card.
