hello :)

No, not anymore. I also think about sun setting my other account on the microblogverse (never used twitter but started using mastodon because its foss weirdly enough).
I did use Reddit the most of all mainstream platforms but stopped way before the whole API debacle as I grew tired of the community recycling old jokes and the circle jerk.

Its a silver lining of AI that you can easily tell whos a big baby idiot and whos actually worth engaging with.

You forgot how stupid that name sounds, Even if they would be on par feature wise nobody would want to switch to STOAT

Thats rough. Check out https://grebedoc.dev/ I believe codeberg itself also wants to migrate to that as well, I cant tell you how reliable it is though (I am using hetzner managed for 1.90€/m) is but I dig its simplicity.

Its centralized, but they (forgejo, the underlying software) are building on standards wherever possible so it should be easy enough to move things around. I also don’t really see them breaking bad anytime soon, at some point you have stop worrying and start to build shit.
There is https://openwebsearch.eu/ which might kickstart things a bit and many do not know about, but your point still stands.
Its a eu funded effort to have a open index others could use and build upon. Dashboard and Crawling Status: https://openwebindex.eu/ Experimental Search Engine: https://ourrs.eu/

thought the same thing afterwards :( too late now.

Gen Z here, also do not have any subscriptions except for a library card which is only 12 € a year (and also my server and domains and rent and electricity and internet). There are just so many movies and games to be watched and played I don’t see myself running empty anytime soon. Often times I visit there without a specific thing to rent and go out with 5 movies to watch, they actually curate the shelf fairly well and have more interesting/new things out for display. For newer releases I do go to the movies but my library does get a copy once there is a physical copy you just have to wait a bit until its your turn.

Feel like that is why universal basic income is even that left than you might expect. If people do not have money they cant pay shit, its as simple as that.

right before mother’s day as well! smh.
Its not uncanny for me per se, but I don’t like their design either. In the Mario Galaxy Movie he looked fine–that is they did not change a thing expect for the high fidelity ofcourse. Which is fine, guess they somehow feel forced to do something with the design as its a remake. Really have to try the recomp though!

Whoa, thank you! I did not know about this. :)

to anybody reading this, could you please be so kind and reply to my comment if the question is answered?
dont think we have @remindme on here. :)

I really dont think you need Facebook for that. You can just look up some bigger clubs in your area just by searching the web or even using wikipedia if its up to date. I myself have joined a computer club in my area fairly recently and its feels great to have some like minded people that are just as “weird” as myself. I know that getting into that can be daunting but it really is worth it.

Also use LibreTube on Android with the same benefits. I just wish all those alternatives Frontends would have a sync service of some sorts. Started of by using Invidious but it its almost unusable nowadays similar to Piped but it also has an independent Subscriptions/Playlists with a simple API it would be cool for those local first apps would integrate into that or maybe something even more independent like a RSS Service to manage subscriptions (feeds do really have to work for that)

Funny how, in the PSP’s hayday, staring at a little glowing rectangle in public felt so awkward. And now it’s digital detox.
I have exactly the same feeling. I always have my DSi around and occasional break it out for a round of Picross in the subway. It would be so weird doing that in 2009. At least where I live.

Cannot believe this was economy only 25 years ago :(

That is oddly relevant :)
