I’ve started my own foray into push-to-talk and speech-to-text recently. I opted for faster-whisper since I wanted a lighter, local approach. It might be more DIY than what you’re looking for, but I just wanted to chime in since it’s fresh on my mind.

Oddly, Void has been the first distro for me where it felt like hibernation just worked out of the box. Sorry though, I have no suggestions.

Taking a step back, I don’t understand why it matters. Hobbies and skill-sets regularly cross over. If you’re finding personal enrichment learning how, I don’t think it really matters.

If the answer is that you’re just curious how to classify it, then I’d say it’s a culinary skill, which is also a hobby.

Any stationary workstation or server in my house is hardwired, so I don’t know about cards. But my phones, personal laptop, etc are fairly new and still only wifi 6. Even my employer provided laptop is a hot-off-the-presses brand new Macbook, and it’s still wifi 6.

I’ve used librewolf daily for at least 3 years, and it can browse figuratively any modern website.

I’ve not owned a single device yet that takes advantage of my wifi 7. What am I gonna do with wifi 8 anyway?
