I make drawings, well, just with black ink/ fineliner on paper. I have a box full of them and even have some on my wall. Never tried to sell them or even post them. The only people who know it are my husband, my parents, my brother and best friend. Only abstract, maybe tattoo-ish.
Have done this since… highschool. Comes and goes in phases. When the mood strikes. Have always loved that my hand-eye coordination is so good, can make fluid lines and it almost looks like it’s printed. But well, I guess it’ll keep going unnoticed. ;)

I don’t really have a fandom… It’s just a never-ending string of temporary hyperfixations, although some of them do get reruns.
But hmm, what about:

Irrelevant? Like hell it is. My best friend also has agency. They make their own choices, just like my partner. And in that moment, they both chose to screw me over.
Now, we could of course have a debate about who should get more of the blame, but that’s besides the point. When it’s a random person, they have no ties to me. I don’t trust them, love them, feel any connection to them whatsoever. They can’t ‘screw me over’ because they don’t know me. But my best friend? Our friendship would forever be ruined and I don’t think you can call that irrelevant.

It does kind of depend on who it is, imo. If it really is some random person who might not have even known about our relationship, then no. It’s not their fault or their responsibility.
But what if it’s your best friend? Then definitely. Both out of my life.

Well, I’m shocked! This never happened before!
In all seriousness, I’m more surprised they still treat this stuff as ‘news,’ because everyone knows he’s a corrupt fuck. Business as usual is not news.
A real looker, that one!

Wtf? Is that legal? What state is this?

So unless they’re forced to pay for it, citizens will foot the bill.
I really hope this gets passed, but it sounds like something Trump’s buddies would be against.

Well yeah, but my question was: why does this need a bill at all? By default they should pay for their own shit.

I don’t get it. Why aren’t they already paying for their power? Why is this bill necessary? It sounds like common fucking sense to me, so why isn’t that the default?
So who’s paying for their power now?

It’s not even that. Honestly, I barely watch TV, but it always seemed to me that the most shitty, dystopian laws I read about were not usually in certain (blue) states. Not saying I think it is heaven there, but that they are at least a little bit more progressive and better/safer to live in.
But you’re right, I guess as an outsider (non-American) I obviously have a skewed view on the matter.

Geez, what a fucking nightmare. And in New York?
I honestly thought that places like New York or Cali were at least less horrible than a lot of other places in the U.S. but apparently I was wrong?

Still not answering my question, are you? I’m not playing this game. You keep derailing to avoid answering. It’s cowardly. And very, very obvious. I prefer to spend my time on other things.
Have a nice day, I guess.

Being a misogynist is a choice. Being a woman isn’t.
But keep pretending it’s the same thing, just as an incel would.
Edit: and please don’t come back with the “being involuntarily celibate is not a choice,” because we both (and everyone else besides) know very well that self-proclaimed incels are something else entirely.
And if you would please answer the question I asked twice already: Which superpower were you talking about and how would AI take it away?

Just to be clear, I did not downvote you, because you made your point intentionally vague, and even though I believe it to be the typical incel-bullshit it sounds like, I asked you to clarify on the off chance that I’m wrong.
So please explain. You say you reference the ‘world as it is’ and in this hypothetical world, women have a superpower, right? Which superpower were you talking about, and how would AI take it away?

What superpower are you talking about? Don’t be shy, please. Spell it out for us ‘females.’

You and me both.

Yup, this is me too.
I guess Lemmy counts as social media, though probably not mainstream (yet?). Used to be on reddit, sometimes watch youtube, but I don’t even comment there or do anything other than watch videos when someone happens to link one.
Never really was a social media person, I mean, that’s the last thing I need, more ways for people to find me and demand my attention. Though I have noticed that a lot of people think there’s something wrong with you if you don’t use any social media, even some employers who try to look you up online. Crazy, imo.
Seinfeld.
