It sucks that Netflix only allowed the first two seasons (when it was just a cute, edgy cartoon about the unreality of Hollywood/LA, rather than a statement on the human condition) to be released on DVD/BluRay. I’d love to have a copy of “The View From Halfway Down” in my library.

Hit real hard. Watching Bojack Horseman coincided with the time in my life when I really needed to watch Bojack Horseman.

For real. Stupid Piece of Shit was the first time it really clicked that other people not only have internal monologues like that, but that it’s a really unhealthy way to see things.

I think it’s one way depression presents. Or at least, is a coping mechanism for. Especially for empathetic types.

“If I can make people smile, make their day slightly better in some way, they won’t have to suffer like I do, and I can derive a little bit of positive emotion from their reaction.”
