probably most of the things that usually found fun: go to a pool, posting in social media (XHS), s–ttin on the US on the internet, making love, reading the texts of comrade xi, eating fried rice and delicious chinese food
i meant more like cultural stuff that is also funny to chinese people like ‘Beijing Bikini’ (膀爷) or stuff like that, not what they do for fun
Lol what’s Beijing bikini?
unc belly
Knotting up your shirt so it only covers your upper body and letting the unc belly enjoy the sun.
As unc belly haver, I’m jelly.
Boil water. I understand why, because they didn’t have well developed public works 30 years ago, but that’s changed now. Similarly, there’s also this culture around drinking hot water and a general tendency to avoid cold things.
Also a lot of older people like to use steamers to reheat food. They aren’t used to using microwaves. Not really funny though, because it does make some food more tasty and I started doing that.
I recently learned about this. I wonder if ppl also tell you to drink hot water when its really hot outside?
In some parts of Brazil, we drink hot black coffee even when the weather is scorching hot. Idk why we do that, even ourselves are aware that it doesn’t make much sense, but we keep doing it, myself included. I guess we just love coffee like that.
This is not uncommon where I’m from, the logic is that drinking a hot beverage makes your internal body temperature rise, resulting in increased blood circulation, which in turn helps you cool down faster.
it is known that hot liquids cool the body (access to air circulation to properly engage human evolutionary advantage of sweat glands required)
It’s from when sweat actually evaporated, helping cool the body.
I’ve seen so many people going to national parks with their cats.
广场舞 “plaza dancing” not exactly funny but it’s my favorite
edit: sometimes, depending, it’s seen as a public nuisance teehee
